Truth about vaccines: who are the experts?

I missed out on watching episode three of The Truth about Vaccines.  The episodes are only available for free for 24 hours. I missed episode three. I suppose I could try to find it on youtube but, instead, I decided to bring to you the people behind the series.  It is quite a long list.  It is important to know who they are, why the filmmakers consider them experts, and why they are not truly experts in immunization science. Narrator Ty Bollinger makes frequent claims that his film is unbiased and truthful. Is it? How impartial and free of conflicts of interest are the members of this group?

***********************************************************************************

Robert F. Kennedy, JR – RFK is an attorney, author, and environmental activist. For a while, he was famous for working with Riverkeepers and then Waterkeeper Alliance but has since moved on to The Mercury Project and vaccines. His claims about mercury and vaccines are not supported by scientific consensus. He is lately becoming famous for his choice of words.

Sherri Tenpenny, DO – Sherri is a practicing osteopath in Ohio, USA, who runs a store online for supplements and a website called The Vaccine Library where, for $100 a year, you can access her information on vaccines. She also runs a website called TruthKings, which publishes very dramatic stories related to science and vaccines, rarely providing evidence to support claims. She calls herself a vaccine researcher but she has, in fact, published no research.

Paul Thomas, MD – Paul is a pediatrician with offices in the Portland, Oregon area.  He is a founding member of Physicians for Informed Consent, an antivax group affiliated with many other antivax groups. Dr Paul makes claims about his patients health that are not supported by any actual evidence and he is the author of a book called The Vaccine-Friendly Plan. He claims not to be antivax but then he spends a lot of time saying vaccines are dangerous, without much evidence to support his claims.

Toni Bark, MD – Toni is a former hospital medical director who currently runs an aesthetic beauty clinic and health center in Illinois called The center for disease prevention and reversal.  She is a practicing homeopath who also offers nutrition advice, bio-identical hormones, and aesthetic treatments like dermabrasion. She has, in recent years, become a very outspoken antivax activist.

Mike Adams, Health Ranger – Mike fancies himself a sort of health lone ranger, but this is really a business model for which he has become quite successful. It has been documented that Mike’s original foray into the business of health blogging was based on what he felt would be the most financially lucrative area of the internet. His it no wonder he “has found a way to foster and monetize the most current fear gripping the cultural zeitgeist?”  He is considered a health scammer and has been under investigation by the FBI for his actions.

Andrew Wakefield, former MD – Andy has been involved in two notorious science scandals, both relating to his 2004 study.  Brian Deer’s profile of him is accurate, as is this explanation of the “whistleblower” manufactroversy. Of course,  I watched his film Vaxxed.

Barbara Loe Fisherfounder of the National Vaccine Information Center, Barbara talks a lot about vaccine risks, including autism, and freedom and choice. She has a son who had a reaction after his fourth DPT shot that she believes led to his learning disabilities. That spurned her into vaccine advocacy, leading to her being one of the authors of the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act of 1986.

Del Bigtree – former producer of the television talk show, The Doctors, and producer of Vaxxed. Del was a lower tier producer on 32 episodes of The Doctors (out of 1125 total).  He now makes a full time job out of promoting Vaxxed.

Suzanne Humphries, MD – Suzanne is a former nephrologist (currently licensed but not practicing) who, in 2011, devoted herself to studying homeopathy and then gave that up to focus full time on what she perceives as the evils of vaccines. She has been widely criticized for her ahistorical take on vaccines. I have read her book, Dissolving Illusions, and I am familiar with her vitamin C protocol. Her recommendations for vitamin C are based on case studies from the 1930s.

Larry Pavelsky, MD – Larry is a holistic pediatrician in New York state. He is in practice with a host of “alternative health practitioners.” A hallmark of someone not espousing good science is if they offer a store where they sell supplements and whether they offer to cure autism. Larry does both. Throughout the Truth series, Larry’s comments are among the most outrageously disconnected from fact and science.

Brian Hooker, PhD – Brian is an associate professor of biology at Simpson university in California. He has a teenage son on the autism spectrum and has spent much of the last 20 years working on proving that MMR and mercury caused his son’s “vaccine injury.” He was heavily involved with Vaxxed in that it was his now-retracted study that is featured in the film. His claim of vaccine injury was recently denied with medical evidence proved him wrong.  He has a PhD in chemical engineering.

Sayer Ji – businessman Sayer has a degree in philosophy and runs the website, Greenmedinfo, which is a natural health website oft noted for it’s inexplicable inability to properly read scientific studies. He is also an advisory committee member of RFK’s World Mercury Project.

Judy Mikovitz, PhD – Judy is a disgraced scientist who chose to embrace pseudoscience rather than admit she made a mistake. She was a researcher looking into possible causes of chronic fatigue syndrome and claimed it was caused by a mouse recombinant virus called XMRV.  The reality is that the XMRV was found to be caused by lab contamination, but Judy could not face facts.  Sadly, bad science has a hard time dying and people desperate to repair their reputation sometimes dig themselves in deep holes.

Sin Hang Lee, MD – Sin has made a reputation for himself with his ideas about Gardasil vaccine. Even though his ideas about HPV dna have been widely discredited, he is still sought out by antivaxers.

Stephanie Seneff – Stephanie is Senior Research Scientist at the MIT Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory. That sounds so impressive, doesn’t it. But, why is she trying to study vaccines? This is the question of the day. Lately, she is making incredible claims about vaccines and autism, none of which make any sense.

Marco Ruggiero, MD – Marco is an Italian AIDS denialist and practitioner of autism “cures.” In my world, this makes him pretty low on the respectability totem pole.

Janet Levatin, MD – Janet is in practice with Tenpenny and a known antivaxer.

Joseph Mercola, DO – Joe is the granddaddy of natural health bloggers. He has been in legal trouble for making outlandish claims not based on science and is a millionaire off tanning bed and supplements sales.

Jennifer Margulis, PhD – Jennifer is a writer and known antivaxer. She has no background in science but co-authored Paul’s book (scroll up). She is anti medicine on several fronts, including birth.

Robert Scott Bell, DA, Hom – Robert is a podcaster who supposedly overcame a lot of chronic health conditions with homeopathy (which he now practices) and other natural healing methods.

Tetyana Obukhanych, PhD – Tetyana is a currently not employed immunologist who self published a small manual one can buy online.  She makes a lot of strangely unscientific claims, in her book, which has led to her becoming a popular member of the antivax brigade. She is now also a member of Physicians for Informed Consent. It is not clear why she has rejected her training.

Rashid Buttar, DO – Rashid is a known antivaxer.

Debra Gambrell, DO – Debra is an Anthroposophical Medicine Specialist, which means she espouses the theories of Waldorf School founder, Rudolf Steiner, including that disease makes us stronger.

Allison Fomar, JD – Allison is a parental rights activist.

David Wolfe – David is, well, David.  He thinks the earth is flat.

Jeffrey Jaxen – Jeffrey is an independent journalist who often writes for greenmedinfo and appears on the Robert Scott Bell show.

Robert J, Krakow – Robert is an attorney specializing in vaccine and other injuries.

Polly Tommey – Polly is a friend of Andy Wakefield’s and very involved in Vaxxed, including actively travelling the USA in the Vaxxed bus, collecting vaccine injury stories. She doesn’t believe science is truthful and instead believes whatever parents tell her. She has a son on the autism spectrum and believes he is vaccine injured and his life was destroyed. She is known for saying things like vaccines are murdering babies.

Shawn Centers, DO – Shawn is an integrative doctor who believes he can heal autism.

Neil Z Miller – Neil is a vaccine researcher who likes to use VAERS data that has not been medically verified as accurate in his “studies.”

Laura Hayes – Laura is media editor of Age of Autism, which many in the autism community believe is a hate group.

Tim O’Shea, DC – Tim is the author of a self-published book claiming vaccines do not immunize.

Ty and Charlene Bollinger – Ty is a former CPA who now runs the Truth about Cancer website. Charlene is his wife.

Nico LaHood – Nico is District Attorney for Bexar County, Texas. He believes one of his children became autistic after a vaccine and now talks about it in public.

Brandy Vaughan – Brandy is a former Vioxx rep for Merck who now runs a website called Learn the Risk. She thinks vaccine ingredients are highly toxic and raises money to fund a billboard campaign about them. She feels that her two years selling Vioxx makes her an expert in pharmaceutical company practices.

G. Edward Griffin – G. Edward is a far right conspiracy theorist.

April Boden – April believes vaccines caused her son’s autism.

Tony Muhammad – Tony is a minister with the Nation of Islam and opposes vaccines. He also believes Vaxxed is truthful and vaccines are causing 250% more autism in African American boys.

Erin Crawford – Erin believes she got cancer from the HPV vaccine but this is not supported by medical evidence.

Mario Lamo-Jimenez – Mario is a Colombian author who now speaks at Autismone conferences on HPV vaccine.

Michael R Hugo – Michael is an attorney

Erin Elizabeth – Erin calls herself “the health nut” and is either currently or has overcome every chronic health condition you can think of, including being aborted as a fetus, mold toxicity, vaccine injury, and god knows what else. Read her story, on her blog. It’s astounding. She is Joe Mercola’s girlfriend and spends much of her time, lately, making a list of “holistic” doctors who have died in the past few years. She believes they are all murder victims.

Heather Rice, DC – Heather is a Vermont chiropractor

Erick Zielinski, DC – Erick is a chiropractor, essential oil salesman, and practitioner of “biblical health” and online ministry out of Atlanta, Georgia.

Srinivasulu Gadugu MD – he is a homeopath

Cilla Whatcott, PhD – she is a homeopath

David Lewis – David is a former research microbiologist and now Co-Chair of the Whistleblower Leadership Council.

Heather Wolfson, DC – Heather is a chiropractor from Arizona who believes vaccines are toxic

Jack Wolfson, DO – Jack is a cardiac specialist from Arizona who now runs a practice with this wife wherein they sell supplements and share why they think vaccines are toxic.

David Brownstein, MD – David is a holistic medicine practitioner from Michigan with specialty in thyroid health, arthritis and other chronic conditions. He believes they can all be overcome through diet.

Edward Group, DC – Edward wins the award for the most initials I have ever seen after one person’s name. According to his website, his title is Dr. Edward F Group III, DC, NP, DACBN, DCBCN, DABFM. You can check for yourself what all of that means.

Ian Clark – Ian is developer of a nanno-nutrition supplement called Oceans Alive.  Yes, it is supposed to have two Ns.

Heidi Bonaroti – Heidi believes her son’s autism was caused by vaccines.

Muhammed Rafeeque, AA, BHMS – Muhammed is a homeopath who practices in India.

Edda West – Edda is founder of Vaccine Choice Canada, a believer that vaccines cause catastrophic illness and death in children, and a contributor to whale dot to and Vaccine Risk Awareness News.

Edwin Black – Edwin is a syndicated columnist and investigative journalist. He specializes in human rights.

Manuela Malaguti-Boyle, PhD, NMD – has a master’s in philosophy and a degree as a naturopathic doctor. She practices homeopathy and natural medicine in Australia.

Tom and Candace Bradstreet – Tom and Candace are related to Jeffrey Bradstreet, who killed himself as federal officials were about to raid his clinic. He had been accused of using an unproven, unregulated, potentially dangerous “cure” for autism called GcMAF.

Irvin Sahni, MD – Irvin is a pain medicine specialist from San Antonia, Texas.

Do you see what I see? The only person on the list who comes close to claiming any expertise about vaccines is Neil Z Miller and his studies have been widely refuted as not valid since he uses unverified VAERS data. Every person on this list has a reason to be antivax and completely biased against vaccines. They either make a living off the claims that vaccines cause all manner of health problems or they are people who are convinced they or their child experience vaccine harm. These are not unbiased, impartial people. Not at all.

In writing this blog post, I have linked often to several blogs I have come to know and trust over the years. Scienceblogs, Science Based Medicine, the Genetic Literacy Project, Skeptical Raptor, Left Brain Right Brain, and Harpocrates Speaks are blogs I have followed for years. They are all excellent quality. But, don’t take my word for it. My criteria for blog excellence is the following: do they cite their sources, do they back up their claims, do they NOT sell things, and are they good people with good intentions.

As I alway says, think for yourself.

    • I am going to guess they had an agenda and they found people who fit that agenda. Considering that Ty talks a lot about the scientific method and keeping an open mind, I am not seeing evidence they did so. They really are speaking to the echo chamber, from the echo chamber. At least I, a proud member of teamvax, consider the other side.

      • So what is your agenda Kathy?!? As you always say, think for yourself yet you seem to want to shove a provaccine regimen down the reader’s throat without pause for logical thought or critical analysis. Paid shill or brainwashed sheep? Either way you are neither pro choice nor pro health in your clearly biassed slander. As a self confessed proud member of teamvax please demonstrate how you have considered the other side? Your rhetoric is clearly biassed and one sided.

      • My agenda is to help people debunk common antivax myths and misinformation and turn away from the antivax cult. Vaccines are a modern miracle. Please read the about section for more information on how I am not a shill.

Well seeing as you cannot even spell ‘one’ and don’t realise that biassed is the alternative English spelling of the word, by the way English was around before you Americans bastardised the language.
You’ll be pulling me up on not using a Z in realise and bastardised next……

Clearly my spelling is the only way you have to discredit anything I say and is obviously more important than the negative health implications of vaccines… 😛 back to the CDC with you….. 😉

    • There is a great deal of evidence to prove that immunization of children does more harm than good.” “The manufacturers of these vaccines know they are worthless but they go on selling them anyway.” – Dr J Anthony Morris, PhD (Former Chief Vaccine Control Officer and Research Virologist, US FDA)

“There are unanswered questions about vaccine safety… No one should be threatened by the pursuit of this knowledge.” “I think public health officials have been too quick to dismiss the hypothesis as irrational without sufficient studies of causation.” – Dr Bernadine Healy, MD (Former Director, National Institute of Health)

“Crib death was so infrequent in the pre-vaccination era that it was not even mentioned in the statistics, but it started to climb in the 1950s with the spread of mass vaccination.” – Dr Harris L Coulter, PhD

“The only safe vaccine is one that is never used.” Dr James A Shannon, MD (Former Director, National Institutes of Health)

“We are setting up the younger generation for a potential calamity. Vaccines build up only one line of your immune system (the antibody system) but put the main immune system (cellular immunity) to sleep. You need both for fully developed immunity.” – Dr Robert Rowen, MD
The greatest lie ever told is that vaccines are safe and effective.– Dr. Leonard G. Horowitz

“The public is woefully uninformed on vaccine risks due to government and mainstream media censorship.” – Dr. Mark Geier, MD

“The chief, if not the sole cause of the monstrous increase in cancer has been vaccination.” – Dr. Robert Bell, Vice President, International Society for Cancer Research at the British Cancer Hospital

“Vaccines are highly dangerous, have never been adequately studied or proven to be effective, and have a poor risk/reward ratio.” – Dr. Allen Greenberg, MD

“I found the whole vaccine business was indeed a gigantic hoax. Most doctors are convinced that they are useful, but if you look at the proper statistics and study the instances of these diseases you will realize that this is not so.
Only after realizing that routine immunizations were dangerous did I achieve a substantial drop in infant death rates.” – Dr. Archivides Kalokerinos, MD

“It is dangerously misleading to say that vaccines make us “immume” or protect against disease, when in fact that is the exact opposite of the truth. Vaccines only drive disease deeper and cause us to harbor it chronically.” – Dr. Richard Moscowitz, MD

“The vaccinations are not working and they are dangerous. We should be working with nature.” – Dr. Lendon Smith, MD

“All vaccines are and have been causing ischemic (impaired blood flow) damage – to all – creating a plethora of chronic illnesses, disease, and in some instances, death. The injury from vaccination is additive; each vaccination further injures.
When you impair the brain blood flow by vaccination you can impair the respiration control center which can result in death. We call it SIDS.” – Dr. Andrew Moulden MD, PhD

“Vaccination is the most dangerous medical practice in the history of classical medicine.” – Dr. Sladjana Velkov

[With vaccination] “what in reality is prevented is not the disease but the ability of our cellular immune system to manifest, to respond to and to overcome the disease! There is no system of the human being, from mind to muscles to immune system, which gets stronger through avoiding challenges, but only through overcoming challenges. In my medical career I’ve treated vaccinated and unvaccinated children and the unvaccinated children are far healthier than the vaccinated ones.”– Dr. Philip Incao, MD

“I have lectured all over the world… I have always had a special interest in newspapers. All of them have one thing in common, there is always some reference made to some epidemic in some part of the world. For instance, two years ago, one paper referred to a polio epidemic in Holland. For the past three years, our newspapers have commented on the diphtheria epidemic in Russia. By these means, the population is constantly threatened with epidemics, they have been made to fear them, and the reports always conclude: “Go and get vaccinated. To create fear among parents to strengthen their motivation to vaccinate is an important part of the publicity used to promote vaccinations. A whole branch of research is examining the question: What level of fear needs to be created to appear as convincing as possible? There is no scientific evidence that vaccinations are of any benefit, but it is clear that they cause a great deal of harm.” – Dr. Gerhard Buchwald, MD

“There is insufficient evidence to support routine vaccination of healthy persons of any age.” – Dr. Paul Frame, MD, Journal of Family Practice

“During those 30 years I have run against so many histories of little children who had never seen a sick day until they were vaccinated and who, in the several years that have followed, have never seen a well day since. I couldn’t put my finger on the disease they have. They just weren’t strong. Their resistance was gone. They were perfectly well before they were vaccinated. They have never been well since.” – Dr. William Howard Hay, MD

“Nobody needs to be confused but everybody better be darn well frightened about taking any vaccine, under any circumstance, for any reason, at any time in their life.” – Dr. Daniel H. Duffy Sr., DC (retired air force officer – 21 yrs., family doctor – 28 yrs., vaccination researcher – 49 yrs.)

“I vaccinated both my children with the MMR jab, but this was before I started my research into the problems associated with it. Knowing what I know now, I would not vaccinate my children and run the risk of them getting diabetes, asthma, eczema, becoming more susceptible to meningitis and ending up chronically disabled.” – Dr. Jayne Donegan

“Had my mother and father known that the poliovirus vaccines of the 1950s were heavily contaminated with more than 26 monkey viruses, including the cancer virus SV40, I can say with certainty that they would not have allowed their children and themselves to take those vaccines. Both of my parents might not have developed cancers suspected of being vaccine-related, and might even be alive today.” – Dr. Howard B. Urnovitz, PhD, CEO, CSO and co-founder of Chronix Biomedical

“Childhood vaccines are giving us a world of chronic illness: autism, developmental disorders, Asperger’s Syndrome, brain tumors, leukemia, cancers, information processing disorders, impulsive violence, allergies, asthma, diabetes, Crohn’s disease, intestinal disorders, are just some of the vaccine associated disorders.” – Dr. Tedd Koren

“I am no longer trying to dig up evidence to prove vaccines cause autism. There is already abundant evidence. This debate is not scientific but is political.” Dr. David Ayoub, MD

“There are at least seven laboratory studies, clinical studies, of blood, cerebral, spinal fluid, biopsies of autistic children which show huge differences between autistic children and normal children in terms of the presence of things like measles vaccine virus in their intestinal tract, for example, or their neurons. So, there’s one line of evidence. Another, of course, is that we have data from thousands of parents who testify, often with videotapes and photographs and eyewitness reports, that their kid was perfectly normal. And they can demonstrate it, as I say, very conclusively with tapes, until after the vaccine. The kid retreated into autism. There’s just converging evidence from many, many directions.”– Dr. Bernard Rimland, PhD, Founder and Former Director of the Autism Research Institute

The greatest threat of childhood diseases lies in the dangerous and ineffectual efforts made to prevent them through mass immunization… There is no convincing scientific evidence that mass inoculations can be credited with eliminating any childhood disease.” – Dr. Robert Mendelsohn, MD

“My suspicion, which is shared by others in my profession, is that the nearly 10,000 SIDS deaths that occur in the United States each year are related to one or more of the vaccines that are routinely given children. The pertussis vaccine is the most likely villain, but it could also be one or more of the others.” – Dr. Robert Mendelsohn, MD

“Many here voice a silent view that the Salk and Sabin Polio Vaccines, being made from monkey kidney tissue, have been directly responsible for the major increase in leukaemia in this country.” – Dr. Fred Klenner, MD

“As a clinician, my current belief which guides my practice with these children is that any child given the Hep B vaccination at birth and subsequent boosters along with DPT has received unacceptable levels of neurotoxins. In any child with a genetic immune susceptibility (probably about one in six) this sets off a series of events that injure the brain-gut-immune system. By the time they are ready to receive the MMR vaccination, their immune system is so impaired in a great number of these children that the triple vaccine cannot be handled by the now dysfunctional immune system” – Dr. Jaquelyn McCandless, MD

“As a retired physician, I can honestly say that unless you are in a serious accident, your best chance of living to a ripe old age is to avoid doctors and hospitals and learn nutrition, herbal medicine and other forms of natural medicine. Almost all drugs are toxic and are designed only to treat symptoms and not to cure anyone. Vaccines are highly dangerous, have never been adequately studied or proven to be effective, and have a poor risk/reward ratio. Most surgery is unnecessary and most textbooks of medicine are inaccurate and deceptive. Almost every disease is said to be idiopathic (without known cause) or genetic – although this is untrue. In short, our main stream medical system is hopelessly inept and/or corrupt. The treatment of cancer and degenerative diseases is a national scandal. The sooner you learn this, the better off you will be.” – Dr. Alan Greenberg, MD

“According to the records of the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, from 1911 to 1935 the four leading causes of childhood deaths from infectious diseases in the U.S.A. were diptheria, pertussis, scarlet fever, and measles. However, by 1945 the combined death rates from these causes had declined by 95% before the implementation of mass vaccine programs.” – Dr. Harold Buttram, MD

“I would consider the risks associated with measles vaccination unacceptable even if there were convincing evidence that the vaccine works. There isn’t. …. In 1900 there were 13.3 measles deaths per 100,000 population. By 1955, before the first measles shot, the death rate had declined 97.7 percent to only 0.03 deaths per 100,000.
For thirty years kids died from smallpox vaccinations even though no longer threatened by the disease.” – Dr. Mendelsohn, MD

“Up to 90% of the total decline in the death rate of children between 1860 and 1965, because of whooping cough, scarlet fever, diptheria, and measles, occurred before the introduction of immunizations.” – Dr Archie Kalokerinos, MD

“I have no faith in vaccination; I look upon it with the greatest possible disgust, and firmly believe that it is often the medium of conveying many filthy and loathsome diseases from one child to another, and no protection whatever against smallpox. Indeed, I consider we are now living in the Jennerian epoch for the slaughter of innocents, and the unthinking portion of the adult population.” – Dr. W.J. Collins, MD, BS, BSc, MRCS

“What people don’t know about vaccines –what most doctors don’t know– but well demonstrated in medical literature, is that vaccines shift your immune system to an immune suppression type of state called the “TH2 shift.” That’s what most vaccines do. They shift your immune system to a weaker, antibody type immune system… If you’re injecting people with so many vaccines that your keeping them in this constant state –that now your switching everyone to this TH2 immune suppression– then everyone becomes more susceptible [to infectious diseases]… and no one is talking about that. Now, a lot of scientists know that, but they are afraid to speak out because their careers would be ruined.” – Dr. Russell Blaylock, MD

“Using kids as guinea pigs in potentially harmful vaccine experiments is every parents’ worst nightmare. This actually happened in 1989-1991 when Kaiser Permanente of Southern California and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) jointly conducted a measles vaccine experiment. Without proper parental disclosure, the Yugoslavian-made “high titre” Edmonston-Zagreb measles vaccine was tested on 1,500 poor, primarily black and Latino, inner city children in Los Angeles. Highly recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO), the high-potency experimental vaccine was previously injected into infants in Mexico, Haiti, and Africa. It was discontinued in these countries when it was discovered that the children were dying in large numbers.” – Dr. Alan Cantwell MD

“My own personal view is that vaccines are unsafe and worthless. I will not allow myself to be vaccinated again. Vaccines may be profitable but in my view, they are neither safe nor effective.” – Dr. Vernon Coleman, MB, ChB, DSc (Hon)

“I once believed in Jenner; I once believed in Pasteur. I believed in vaccination but I changed my views as the result of hard thinking.” – Dr. Walter Hadwen, MD, LSA, MRCS, LRCP, MB

“Cancer was practically unknown until compulsory vaccination with cowpox vaccine began to be introduced. I have had to deal with at least two hundred cases of cancer, and I never saw a case of cancer in an unvaccinated person.” – Dr. W. B. Clarke

“One vaccine decreases cell-mediated immunity by 50%, two vaccines by 70%… all triple vaccines (MMR, DTaP) markedly impair cell-mediated immunity, which predisposes to recurrent viral infections, especially otitis media, as well as yeast and fungi infections.” – Dr H.H. Fudenberg, Immunologist

“Probably 20% of American children -one youngster in five- suffers from ‘development disability’. This is stupefying figure we have inflicted on ourselves…’development disabilities’ are nearly always generated by encephalitis. And the primary cause of encephalitis in the USA and other industrialized countries is the childhood vaccination program. To be specific, a large proportion of millions of US children and adults suffering from their disorders owe it to one or another of the vaccines against childhood diseases.” – Dr. Harris Coulter

“Childhood diseases are a far less serious threat than having a large fraction of a generation afflicted with learning disability and/or uncontrollable aggressive behavior because of a crusade for universal vaccination…” – Association of American Physicians & Surgeons

“Recent evidence indicates that routine childhood vaccinations contribute to the emergence of chronic allergic problems such as eczema, ear infections, and asthma. A growing number of scientists and physicians maintain that most standard vaccinations permanently disturb the developing immune system, setting the stage for hypersensitive reactions to foods and other common substances. In fact, childhood illnesses such as measles, mumps, and whooping cough may actually reduce the risk of allergy.” – Dr. Konrad Kail

“The incidence of asthma has been found to be five times more common in vaccinated children.” – The Lancet, 1994.

“Public health regulators’ main interest is preserving the notion that vaccines help more than they harm. Anything else is blasphemous. For the rest of us, though, a recent review in immunology literature should give pause. It states: ‘To date, more than 80 systemic and organ-specific autoimmune diseases have been defined, and their cumulative burden is substantial, both medically and financially. Furthermore, the burden of autoimmune and autoinflammatory diseases is rising, making these diseases a ubiquitous global phenomenon that is predicted to further increase in the coming decades.’ An autoimmune storm is rising. The role of vaccines in it is emerging and will one day be crystal clear. The question is, how far off is that day, and who is going to pay while we wait for it?” – Dr. Celeste McGovern

Dr. Gary Kohls, MD has warned that advocates for [mandatory vaccination] were doing so “without acknowledging –or perhaps even being aware of– the large amount of recent neuroscience-based evidence from scientists worldwide that should be modifying the outdated CDC mandates.” “Big Pharma and the CDC have very profitably generated and then propagated the myth that their overpriced and very poorly researched vaccines are both effective and safe,” added Dr. Kohl, a retired physician who had a 40-year family practice career and now tries to sound the alarm on vaccine dangers.

“The safety and efficacy of all vaccines has been disproven, including the 270 new ones that the industry is currently developing and planning to market, but the word has not broken through to the large clinics like the Mayo Clinic.” Source: The New American

      • Wow, that is a whole lot of Gish Gallop cut and paste! Without a single reference to context. Please make sure the verifiable citations are indexed at PubMed or are in an original source mainstream news publication. No websites like Whale, Curezone, Natural News, etc. By the way, lots of “experts” have been dead for years, even decades. This is not a good sign of being kept up to date:

Dr J Anthony Morris, PhD: need verifiable citation, not a virologist and was in the FDA in the early 1970s

Dr Bernadine Healy, MD: need verifiable citation, she was a cardiologist

Dr Harris L Coulter, PhD: his PhD was in Russian studies, not a medical professional (especially since he dabbled in homeopathy)

Dr James A Shannon, MD: need verifiable citation, he retired in 1968

Dr Robert Rowen, MD: need verifiable citation (one found on Google practices quackery like chelation)

Dr. Leonard G. Horowitz: was a dentist, now a conspiracy theorist, is listed on the American Loons site

Dr. Mark Geier, MD: had been stripped of his medical license due to unethical treatment of autism patients, definitely not reputable… and was not qualified because he was a geneticist (the US Vaccine Court Special Masters had some interesting things to say about him)

Dr. Robert Bell: need verifiable citation, and too common a name, but there is no British Cancer Hospital (at least not for decades)

Dr. Allen Greenberg, MD: need verifiable citation

Dr. Archivides Kalokerinos, MD: definitely not a reputable source, he pushed massive doses of Vitamin C

        Safety and Effectiveness of Vaccines

Omer and colleagues found that recent graduates were 15% less likely to believe that vaccines are effective, compared with older graduates.

Younger doctors were also more likely to believe that immunizations do more harm than good, Omer tells WebMD.

And they were less likely to believe that measles, mumps, rubella (MMR), polio, and chickenpox vaccines were safe when compared to older doctors, he says.

        In the second study

10% of general pediatricians and 21% of pediatric specialists claim that they would not follow [CDC] recommendations for vaccinations for future progeny. Despite their education, physicians in this study expressed concern over the safety of vaccines.

Maybe you both need to do some fact checking with your own stats.

      • Opinion polls are not evidence on the science of vaccines. Someone’s beliefs does not make the disease less harmful than the vaccines.

Now, produce PubMed indexed studies by reputable qualified researchers actually on the vaccines. Not “beliefs.”

      • Thank you for standing up to the sheeple herders. Hopefully your information will spur someone to do their own research and not just follow the science of mass population control. I wouldn’t bother arguing with these people. Obviously they are only going to accept studies endorsed by the “PubMed” and other pharma-industrial complex endorsed slop prepared for the general public. These are not people who actually read studies themselves. Instead they rely on character defamation of the scientists! As if the character of the scientists changes the data!! They act as if people should not make a living from public service. Yet they support Doctors who all do so. They themselves will not reveal their income sources or their personal information so that we can judge their ethics. If you cite studies they don’t like they will accuse you of copy pasta. If you write original thought on the data, they will say that you are not a scientist. They will make up their own “facts”, whatever strikes their fancy, such as: “99% of doctors support vaccination…” and take no responsibility for doing so. When you call them on it with modern research based data that clearly shows a very different picture they pull the switch and bait. Suddenly they accuse you of calling a popularity contest! As if they didn’t start that line of argument. These are debating tactics that are not designed to find truth, just to sound right. They will use every unethical tricky debating tactic because they are not here to find truth. Truth is not whats important to the people who run this blog. It is obvious that controlling the actions of the population is all that matters to these people.

The most interesting thing about this debate is how it is being directed and controlled through the media. Their strategies are surprisingly similar to the media manipulation, data denying, truth twisting, character defamation, fear mongering and self repetition strategies of the climate change deniers. They are using the same strategy book. seems to work well for the general public. It has certainly worked well for Trump!

Balanced review of the research and any debate at all is even silenced by the search algorithms. Its amazing!

People! Read the studies yourself. Trust yourself! Don’t choose to believe the loudest voice. Sometimes the truth is just a whisper.

      • First of all, if you read this blog, you will see I have done my own reading of research and I link out, in every post, to multiple published scientific studies to prove my points. I always verify my claims.

Thus, this provax is no sheeple.

Secondly, pubmed is just a database of all published studies. It is not related to pharmaceutical companies at all and no judgements are passed. It is just a database.

95% of doctors vax their own kids in this study
        https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/16263976

As for the 99% of doctors are provax claim, look how many medical doctors are in antivax groups like PIC? Very very few. It’s not hard to reach the conclusion that the vast majority of doctors are provax, possibly as high as 99%. Maybe even 99.99%. Y’all are a tiny group.

Thirdly, I don’t get my ideas from the media. Bummer for you that argument is moot point.

So, my challenge to you is to provide me at least one study confirming vaccines have great risks than benefits. Bet you cannot even find one!

Read the studies yourself. I have! Thousands of them.

Come on! Even Wakefield and the Geiers had their papers indexed on PubMed! The papers were either fraudulent or just bad science, but that was because they were the type of medical doctors who engaged in activity that got their medical licenses revoked. That is why neither are reputable.

When you look at organizations like physicians for informed consent or international council on vaccines or nurses against vaccines, how many members do they have who are American MDs or nurses? Very few. Many of the members of these antivax “prochoice” groups are chiropractors and naturopaths. When you read the lists of doctors who are antivax, how many are American MDs who are still alive? Very few.

Thus, I draw my conclusion that 99% of doctors and scientists are provax.

Also, there is 100% international scientific consensus that vaccines have greater benefits than risks. I cannot prove that because one cannot prove a negative. No one has ever been able to find me even one study proving me wrong.

Another question: Why does it have to be about vaccines?

Especially since the causes of about half of the cases of autism are now known:

Going on about vaccines is a waste of time, a waste of money and harms families. The harms come from kids getting seriously sick with some nasty diseases, and the money thrown away by the parents for dubious “treatments.”

      • The published scientific literature about vaccines can be divided into two sets with opposite conclusions regarding its toxicity.

The first set is comprised of studies directly or indirectly supported by the pharmaceutical industry, showing that “there is no evidence of harm”. These studies are the ones most often quoted by the Press. Most of these studies are statistical. In many cases, the data from which their conclusions are derived have been inconsistent.

The second set is comprised of hundreds of independent clinical and statistical studies demonstrating harm. These studies are seldom quoted by the Press. Authors of these scientific papers include chemists, biologists, physicians and neurologists among others. Federal grants have often funded these studies. However, in many instances, when a researcher has concluded that a vaccine causes harm, the grant has been withdrawn or ended. Independent researchers have lost jobs, been ostracized by peers, and/or had their medical licenses threatened.

But keep tooting the party line ladies even if you are behind the times. More and more scientists, doctors, nurses and parents are waking up from their deep sleep while you continue to snore loudly.

      • Tell you what? You go through the references for every ingredient on this website and you let me know which ones are funded by pharmaceutical companies and which ones are not. Then, we’ll chat.

        http://www.chop.edu/centers-programs/vaccine-education-center/vaccine-ingredients

Because as far as I am concerned, most all immunization science and most toxicity studies of ingredients are not funded by any pharmaceutical companies at all.

The only researcher I know of who has lost any job is Andy Wakefield and he makes more money now than he ever did as a GP in UK. Geier lost his medical license but he was torturing autistic boys so I think that is pretty warranted.

Several studies funded by CSMRI/Dwoskin have been retracted and a large number have been noted as shoddy, but because they are shoddy work. If you could understand them, you would agree.

I see you tooting the antivax “I didn’t actually read any science” line.

      • So if you cannot give us actual PubMed indexed studies by qualified reputable researchers that any vaccine on the present pediatric schedule causes more than the diseases…. your response isto whine about those studies for “reasons.” Reasons that you do not qualify with any evidence, which is a classic running off with the goal posts.

“But keep tooting the party line ladies even if you are behind the times. More and more scientists, doctors, nurses and parents are waking up from their deep sleep while you continue to snore loudly.”

That is hilarious coming from someone posting out of context quotes from many non-qualified people, several who had been dead for a very long time (at least one had been dead for a century). Yet, you have totally ignored the link I gave on the several dozens real known causes of autism.

All you have used are old tired arguments that have been addressed many times. I have been dealing with folks like you for since just before the Millennium Bug was supposed to end civilization eighteen years ago. That is why I recognized many of the names in your silly argument by popularity (even from dead folk). I remember someone tell me that there was going to some big development on vaccines causing autism, it was this little gem:
        Med Hypotheses. 2001 Apr;56(4):462-71.
Autism: a novel form of mercury poisoning.
        Bernard S1, Enayati A, Redwood L, Roger H, Binstock T.

What made it hilarious was not only the fact that is was scientifically very wrong, the timing was such that it was already too late. Due the “precautionary principle” the USA folks had already decided to remove thimerosal from pediatric vaccines. Which produced this plea from one of the authors of that “hypothesis” just two months after its publication:

        Subject: Thimerosal DTaP Needed
        From: Sally Bernard
        Date: Wed, 27 Jun 2001 00:01:50 -0400
        Yahoo! Message Number: 27456
        Onibasu Link: http://onibasu.com/archives/am/27456.html

        Hi all:

A group of university-based researchers needs several vials of the older DTaP vaccine formulations which contained thimerosal for a legitimate research study. If anyone knows an MD who might have some of these vaccines or knows where to get them, please email me privately.

        Thank you.

        Sallie Bernard
        Executive Director
        Safe Minds

Yet, they keep plugging away at that old tired trope, even when one of the studies they paid for came to a real scientific conclusion:
        Environ Health Perspect; DOI:10.1289/ehp.1408257
Examination of the Safety of Pediatric Vaccine Schedules in a Non-Human Primate Model: Assessments of Neurodevelopment, Learning, and Social Behavior

Yeah, Safe Minds did not like that. Their reactions were about as literate as those that make statements about “the thimerosal in the MMR vaccine.” They just keep moving those goal posts.

Do yourself a favor, and drag yourself more into the 21st century. There is real research that is proving real answers to autism, including treatments. That research has shown why the saying is “if you met one person with autism, you have met one person with autism.” BUT! They have found that there are similar characteristics among many groups, and they often have the same underlying genetic reason. Plus, this gives an insight into real therapies.

Go be part of modern science, sign your family up for the SPARKS for Autism research study. All it requires is answering a bunch of questions (and those of us who have had our kids formally diagnosed are very used to that), and spit samples from child(ren) and each parent. They are also offering $50 gift cards to the kid!

      • Kathy: “You do realize the man you copied this screed from was torturing autistic boys with lupron?”

You mean that whole screed from an anonymous concerned person on teh internets was a copy-pasta from the Geiers (one who lost his medical license, and his son who was fined for pretending to be a doctor)? Oh my, that is rich and thank you for doing the research on that (confirmed with the Googles).

It proves that “Concerned Mom” does have issues with thinking for herself. It also explains my confusion since my list of studies were in reverse chronological starting with a meta-study. Then then the authors of the others did not meet any kind of criteria spelled out in the copy-pasta.

This is a classic “moving the goal posts” tactic. First dismiss all studies by pharmaceutical companies. So then it dismiss any study paid by a “government” (like the NHS study from the guy at the Royal Free Hospital after Wakefield left there). When that was not enough, we are not supposed to believe any studies by Kaiser Permanente, a huge health maintenance organization.

But here is the kicker. SafeMinds paid for a study that showed thimerosal in vaccines caused no harm. Here is the text of the study:

        Click to access ehp.1408257.alt.pdf

        It includes this bit:

This work was supported by the Ted Lindsay Foundation, SafeMinds, National Autism Association, the Vernick family, and the Johnson family. This work was also supported by WaNPRC Core Grant RR0166 and Center on Human Development and Disability Core Grant HD02274. The funding organizations played no role in the design and conduct of the study; in the collection, analysis, and interpretation of the data; or in the presentation, review, or approval of the manuscript.

Note who funded it. The National Autism Association also has a history of being anti-vaccine. Did you see either of them support the findings? No. In fact they back peddled for “reasons.”

So it really does not matter who pays for the study, it will always be “wrong” because it does not have the answer they want. This is why the anonymous concerned person on teh internets cannot find a PubMed study by reputable (not the Geiers!) qualified researchers to show any vaccine on the present American pediatric schedule causes more harm than the disease.

Which is why she cannot tell me why it has to be vaccines. Because in her mind it is nothing else, despite the more recent research.

      • I find their views truthful. Dr. Lee was correct as far as HPV vaccine goes. It has the highest levels of the neurotoxin aluminum then any other vaccine. The HPV vaccine has sent more people to hospital then any other vaccine and 250 deaths reported. In a Canadian study funded by the Alberta Ministry of Health (Adverse events following HPV vaccination, Alberta 2006–2014 Vaccine, Volume 34, Issue 15, Pages 1800-1805 Xianfang C. Liu, Christopher A. Bell, Kimberley A. Simmonds, Lawrence W. Svenson, Margaret L. Russell) they followed 195,270 girls who received the vaccine, 19,351 ended up in ER…that is 1 in 10 girls who got the vaccine. Some developed a syndrome called POTS which saw teenage girls and boys in wheelchairs after being vaccinated. “The incidence of adverse reaction to the vaccine is greater than the rate of cervical cancer” Dr. S. Lee, pathologist. That’s true. The routine pap smear is a better way to deal with that problem. Out of the hundreds of strains of HPV, the vaccine targeted two strains only. As Dr. Lee mentioned, others strains have come in and taken their place and these new strains being created by the vaccine are more prevalent and more virulent. HPV increase has actually risen since the introduction of the vaccine. If the HPV vaccine is given to a woman who already has HPV in a harmless state it may activate the condition and accelerate cancer. Well over 90% of all cases of HPV goes away on its own and does not cause any health issues. This controversial vaccine is simply not worth the risk and many parents are opting out for their children for valid reasons.

      • the Alberta Ministry of Health Report was not “wrong” and I’ll take the report of a medical doctor pathologist specialist over “Skeptical Raptor” who is obviously biased as well. I’ll take the words of the number of teens and parents who are speaking out on youtube and various medical sites..kids like Mia Blesky 12 and Colton Berrett 13 and Chloe Brookes-Holder 18 who were paralyzed from the neck down after the vaccine, parents of Joel Gomez 14 and Meredith Prohaska 12 and Manjeshni Devi 14 who all died within hours of getting the vaccine and I will continue to look at the actual numbers on the VAERS website re severe adverse reactions and deaths https://vaers.hhs.gov/data/data which don’t match “Skeptical Raptor”. In your zeal to prove how safe vaccines are, you are missing the damage being done to real children and real parents. How sad.

But, they are not being rational, in their grief. They are putting more children in harm’s way by blaming vaccines without reason.

      • @Marge, please learn to read. The report from the Alberta Ministry of Health states that of 20,000 hospital visits, FOUR were related the vaccine and one of those FOUR was discounted.
As you should be aware, roughly 20% of the population visits the ER per year. So those numbers are not abnormal.
All of the other causes were external (physical injury, mental health issues, stomach issues etc). There was no significant increase in Emergency Room visits after the vaccination was given.

I’m reminded of the Wizard’s First Rule: People are stupid. They can be made to believe any lie because either they want to believe it’s true or because they are afraid it’s true.

And that’s exactly what happens with Vaccines. Lots of people are afraid vaccines may cause injury so they believe the lie that it does. Other people want to believe that vaccines cause injury, so they believe the lie that it does. Marge is one of those two types of people.

OF THE WOMEN WHO RECEIVED HPV VACCINE 958 WERE HOSPITALIZED AND 19,351 HAD AN ED VISIT WITHIN DAYS OF IMMUNIZATION. FOUR WOMEN WHO HAD AN ED VISIT AND HOSPITALIZATION EVENT WERE DIAGNOSED WITH VTE. THREE OF THESE HAD OTHER DIAGNOSES KNOWN TO BE ASSOCIATED WITH VTE; THE FOURTH WOMAN HAD VTE AMONG ED DIAGNOSES.
HPV vaccines account for 25% of all VAERS reports. 43,532 reports to VAERS of serious adverse reactions and 256 deaths.

      • Four: Toni claims 10% of people who get gardasil visit the ER and 3% of them are hospitalized, per a Canadian study. Study called Adverse events following HPV vaccination, Alberta 2006-2014. But, the study actually concluded that “of the women who received HPV vaccine 958 were hospitalized and 19,351 had an ED visit within 42 days of immunization.” This was out of 195,270 females who received 528,913 doses of HPV vaccine. What she does not say is that only 4 of those hospitalized had a reported AEFI (adverse events following immunization). For the rest, mental, behavioral and neurodevelopmental disorders (19.4%) were the most frequently coded most responsible diagnoses, followed by diseases of the digestive system (15.8%), and injury, poisoning and certain other consequences of external causes (13.8%). Which is why the report she quotes actually concludes “adverse events following HPV immunization in Alberta are low, consistent with those seen elsewhere, and consistent in the types of event seen elsewhere. ”

        Total Adverse Events‎: ‎59,092 Disabled‎: ‎1,727
        Deaths‎: ‎315

you can not explain those away on benadryl because of a serious allergic reaction Meredith had to the HPV vaccine or a virus when Colton’s mom noticed him going downhill after being given the vaccine.

Those are real people up there, real kids being made sick with seizures, real kids being paralyzed, real kids dying. You can sugar coat it any way you want but there are risks to any vaccine. I want to make people aware of those risks. You are trying to fluff them off or pretend they don’t exist. They exist and no amount of ridicule or sarcasm or biased bs is going to change that.

      • Yes, these are real people. So, they deserve real answers, not hysteria. VAERS data is not medically verified, which is why most claims of severe injury to VAERS are proven NOT caused by vaccines when medical evidence is analyzed. SIDS and autism, for example, are not caused by vaccines. We know vaccines cut the risk of SIDS by 50%. So, unvaccinated babies have a higher SIDS risk. Nobody pretends SIDS does not exist. Scientists and doctors take SIDS reports seriously and study them to find real answers. Blaming vaccines doesn’t help prevent SIDs.

Meredith took too much Benadryl. That killed her. The HPV vaccine was not the cause. Colton had three HPV vaccines and then got TM weeks after the third. If we want to understand and treat and prevent TM, we cannot blame things irrationally doesn’t help keep children healthy. If the goal is healthy kids, then we have to use scientific evidence to make decisions.

Positive consequences to receiving vaccines could be assigned two values. One considering public health benefits, the other considering individual health benefits.

Negative consequences to receiving vaccines could hypothetically be assigned these two values as well.

In all the arguments put forwards by “Marge” below I never see this consideration. If the public health benefits outweigh the detriments, is it not our obligation to practice them, even enforce them? It seems like a cold calculation, but these kinds of considerations must be taken into account.

I do some volunteer work in the field with providing needle and smoking supply access to addicts. All other arguments aside, it’s clear the public health benefits of reducing the spread of HIV and HepC outweigh the potential detrimental effects.

Harm reduction is useful practice. Perhaps part of the problem is many people simple don’t understand the nature of pandemics, and the consequences to public health by not treating communicable diseases intelligently.

Kathy is passionate about healthy living and organic food. (Hats off to you for that Kathy…thank you for supporting organic foods and teaching how important it is to eat healthy and for looking after mother earth because God knows our mom needs all the help she can get right now.)

She’s also a vocal advocate for immunization (which is your right…just as it is my right to warn people of the risks and champion green or safe vaccines. I understand what you are doing. I understand your beliefs because I once held them myself…there may have even been a time when I would have joined one of your committees…but I have to now stand up for the kids that are being damaged.)

Kathy also testified before the state legislature this past February in favor of House Bill 2009, which would eliminate personal belief exemptions. (Eek…no forced vaccines…not in my body, not in the body of anyone who has serious doubts and questions about the ingredients and manufacturing of vaccines. In Canada it is a choice. I’ll fight to keep it that way)

I believe Kathy is doing this blog because, as she writes, in 2015 she won the CDC Childhood Immunization Champion Award and she is proud of that so she is now being a spokesperson for the CDC. She further states she had to prove that she had no ties to the pharmaceutical industry whatsoever in order to win the award and I believe her that she has no ties but since the CDC does and is entwined with the pharmaceutical companies she is now championing a CDC which has been corrupted and receives billions from drug patents.

I’ll support you any day you want to write a blog on organic food and against companies like Monsanto but on this issue, I am afraid we are going to butt heads.

No hard feelings Kathy and Marky Mark…you are doing what you believe is right. I’m challenging that belief and I’m tired of the vilification of children, parents and doctors who are speaking out on this issue… who know that vaccines can and do damage some children and because there are no adequate long term safety studies being done, we have no way of knowing how the # of vaccines being given with toxic ingredients in them are impacting the future health of individuals and fueling diseases like cancer. Toxic chemicals have no place in the human body…period. Do you know that the CDC currently has over 270 vaccines in development? That is insane and they are just going to keep adding more and more to a schedule that is already controversial. I’m not going to stay silent about that. You are doing what you feel is morally right even if slandering everyone who is speaking out is not the way to go or the way to do it. I am doing what I feel is morally right. May the truth win out at the end of the day. I think we can all agree that genetic testing to see who is going to have an adverse reaction to any drug or vaccine is a really smart way to go no matter what side of the fence you fall on.

The small portion of this generation of children who are growing up being told they are damaged are going to figure out, when they are adults, how much damage their parents did to them with this messed up view.

The CDC has patents for technologies they have developed. Leasing that technology helps fund research. They are a non profit. The CDC foundation board is made up of a wide variety of individuals.

Quit believing RFK’s lies. Think for yourself.

I know that is true in the US as well after a report from the AMA. These are drugs that were passed as “safe” by the FDA. What makes you so certain that vaccines which are also produced by the same pharmaceutical companies who make these “safe” drugs which have serious adverse reactions and are the fourth leading cause of death are any “safer”? Serious adverse reactions resulting in medical conditions and deaths happen with both pharmaceutical drugs and vaccines alike. Here is one Canadian woman who has thought of a very smart way to reduce those serious adverse reactions to any drug or vaccine…genetic testing. I think even you can agree this is a great idea

There was a reason Deer was paid to go after Wakefield even though Wakefield’s findings have been replicated in 28 lab reports around the world. There was nothing accurate about Deer’s reports. The judge who tried the case, Nigel Davis, also had a brother Crispin Davis, who was a non-executive director of GSK. Talk about conflicts of interest. I admire Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and his work. Murdoch paid Deer to pay Wakefield to take money from an attorney who was wanting to sue the makers of MMR for causing autism in 12 children? Murdoch is why Wakefield performed unnecessary and unapproved colonoscopies on children?

Yes, I know that VICP has paid out $3 billion in claims and attorney fees for 5200 claims in 30 years. During that time, more than 3 billion vaccines have been given in USA. That makes vaccines 99.999984% safe. The risk of vaccine injury is 0.000016%. The risk of injury or death from any VPD is exponentially higher.

Since 1980, Canadian vaccine schedules have more than tripled the types of vaccines given; for the first 18 months of life alone, public health authorities across Canada now recommend 32-41 (average 36) doses of thirteen to sixteen different vaccines. New Brunswick, the Northwest Territories and Nunavut start by injecting the first dose of Hepatitis B vaccine at birth; the rest of the country starts multiple injections/drops at two months.

It’s been declared that today’s children are the first generation whose parents will outlive them. Today, 10% of Canadian children have life threatening afflictions. In the last 25 years, concurrent with vaccine increase, there have been huge declines in children’s health in many categories:

Autism – increased about 200 times in the last fifteen years – the accumulative amounts of the neurotoxin aluminum in so many vaccines has not been discounted today as a cause. The connection to ethyl mercury and autism was already made and was removed from all childhood vaccines in Canada.
Over 27% of Canadian children fall short on at least one measure of physical, emotional or cognitive development when entering kindergarten.
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) – 10%
        Learning Disability – 1/6
Severe Mood Dysregulation (eg bipolar disorder) – 1/30
Severe Ear Infections – 50% of Canadian 2-3 yr olds since birth
All types of Allergies – increased six times since 1980
Anaphylactic Food Allergies – doubled in the last decade
        Allergic Eczema – 1/5
Asthma – 10% of Canadians 2-7 yrs old
Juvenile Diabetes – more than 100% increase since 1980 – I can send you the facts on that as my child is one of them, along with developing bronchial asthma and severe allergies after his first set of vaccines. I was as gung ho as you were about vaccines until I was forced to examine the other side.
Epilepsy and Turrets have also increased dramatically.

“For the first time in history…children are sicker than the generation before them. They’re not just a little worse off, they are precipitously worse off, physically, emotionally, educationally and developmentally.”

        – Judy Converse, MPH, RD, LD; Why Do Pediatricians Deny The Obvious?

There is a reason why Japan moved their vaccine schedule from starting at two months (with a few exceptions) to two years old when a toddler’s immune system is mature enough to handle and eliminate some of the toxins in vaccines and went from #17 among first world nations with infant mortality rates to #1 with the best record on earth and other health issues like SIDS and those mentioned above dropped off the map. There is a reason why other first world nations, especially the Scandinavian countries, give far fewer vaccines and have a far healthier population. America ranks dead last. When I was growing up, we were given far fewer vaccines. I think we had 3-5 growing up and my generation was much healthier. We are over-vaccinating and over-stimulating the immune system just as we were prescribing too many antibiotics for common colds and flus and then woke up and realized the problems that was creating.

I am not anti-vaccine. I wish now I had delayed giving any vaccine until my child was two years old. I wish more countries adopted Japan’s model.

I probably won’t change your mind. It’s not until it hits close to home that people finally sit up and take notice but I’ve had my say and I hope it stimulates intelligent and real debate on the subject without the name calling, hysterics and back and forth that I often see associated with this subject.

      • 1. “VAERS only accounts for a very very small number of reported cases.” This is untrue. VAERS data states minor reactions are underreported and severe reactions are overreported (because most are found to be not related to vaccines).

        2. ” According to VRAN, North American children are now the most vaccinated on earth. ” Not true.

      • you are presenting biased information again. Here is the current CDC immunization schedule from the CDC website which both American and Canadian doctors follow. You can count the number of vaccines given yourself…it is not 14…it is well over 30…higher then any other countries in the world

        Click to access milestones-tracker.pdf

and the information you provide does not match up to this science report from the NCBI which clearly concludes that nations that require more vaccine doses tend to have higher infant mortality rates.

        https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3170075

My fault with the wording for Japan. They moved the Dtap vaccine up to 2 years and rates of SIDS and other childhood conditions were greatly reduced. Japan gives the least number of vaccines a long with Sweden, Iceland, Norway, Finland.

There is no autism epidemic? I can’t believe you said that. I can provide just as many links to show that is wrong but I’ll use the CDC report instead – 1 in 150 kids with autism in 2,000, 1 in 68 kids with autism in 2012, 1 in 45 kids with autism in 2017. I personally know 3 parents dealing with it. https://www.cdc.gov/ncbddd/autism/data.html

Houston, there is a problem and parents know when they give their child a vaccine and they notice a regression in their behaviour or their health. Parents KNOW. They know it’s not the pablum or the apple sauce or the breast milk doing this and thus the outcry. They want the problem acknowledged and they want it dealt with so no other children have to go through what their children are going through. Thank you, I will continue to think for myself. I will continue to stay informed and I will continue to acknowledge that there are problems here that need to be seriously addressed.

      • I count each disease as a vaccine. You are counting by doses. Most doctors and scientists do it the way I do.

Israel, Canada, and Australia vaccinate for the same number of diseases as USA. We are not the highest in the world.

If you read my post called “there is no autism epidemic,” you will see we have a higher rate of autism due to shift in diagnosis.

Parents miss early warning signs. Read The Panic Virus by Seth Mnookin. Read the Brian Hooker VICP case (which he lost because he missed clear early warning signs)

      • Yes, and the countries you list are all at the bottom of the NCBI report. I guess the NCBI are nuts too, they count doses given…and Japan is nuts for their stats which clearly shows that SIDS rates do not improve with more vaccines or doses given…quite the opposite…and I must have been nuts for ever wandering in here in the first place…

      • Japan’s SIDS rate did not change when they stopped giving infant vaccines. But, their VPD rate went up. So, now they vax infants again.

Meantime, our SIDS rate, in USA, is at an all time low. Infant mortality rate, in USA, dropped 15% in last ten year.

      • Vaccine injuries are drastically underreported. Most incidents go unreported because many doctors often choose to deny or disregard even the most obvious connection between a sudden health issue and vaccination. As a result, it is believed that fewer than 10% of vaccine injuries are actually reported.

Vaccines damage the immune system. It has been said that a healthy immune system has two main parts, Th1 and Th2. The theory is that Th1 leads with the first and most important immune response, to sense and eliminate incoming disease-associated organisms and particles. Th2 then creates antibodies and a memory of the disease. Babies are born with immature immune systems in which Th2 dominates. As their immune systems mature, dominance switches permanently to Th1. Usually, infectious agents enter the body through the nose and mouth, triggering Th1 which normally combats them effectively. But vaccines injected into the body bypass Th1 and over-stimulate Th2. This confuses the normal maturation and skews the functioning of the immune system; Th2 becomes dominant and the crucial Th1, suppressed. The result can be autoimmune disease (eg juvenile diabetes), allergic disorders (eg eczema, asthma and life threatening anaphylactic allergies to everyday foods like peanuts) and frequent infections (eg ear infections).

Vaccine ingredients are risky. They include dangerous preservatives and adjuvants (chemicals which increase immune response) and other potentially harmful substances: aluminum phosphate, phenol (carbolic acid), MSG, formaldehyde, squalene, etc. The flu shot still contains mercury which was removed from all childhood vaccine for valid reasons. This and other toxins can accumulate and eventually suppress the immune system, cause brain damage, and lead to a myriad of health issues and developmental disorders. Exposure to toxins during the critical stages of development before age two is especially dangerous to the brain.

Some vaccines are made using tissue cultures: monkey kidney, fetal calf blood, chick embryos, aborted human fetal lung, yeast, etc. It’s impossible to remove all contaminating viruses and proteins left from this process. Injected contaminants can create immune problems including anaphylaxis. Other vaccines have genetically engineered or artificially fragmented active ingredients. These could result in injuries as yet unrecognized.

Vaccine safety has never been proven. Studies to compare the overall long-term health of vaccinated versus unvaccinated people have never been done, nor have studies to discover the combined and cumulative effects of so many vaccines. Safety studies prior to vaccine licensing are typically inadequate and limit follow-up to a few days or weeks.

Vaccinations are given indiscriminately. There are no tests to determine which children are likely to respond adversely to vaccinations. Little concern is given to innate health and family health history. Underweight babies are routinely given the same dosage using the same schedule as babies of normal weight. Unlike other drugs, vaccines are administered using a one-size-fits-all policy. It is a dangerous policy and many children are paying the price for it.

      • “Vaccine injuries are drastically underreported. ” This is untrue. VAERS data states that minor reactions are underreported, but as these are not cause to avoid vaccination, this is not an issue. Severe reactions are vastly overreported because so many of them are proven not really caused by vaccines when medical evidence is analyzed. The vaccine safety datalink is one source you might peruse for safety facts. They analyze VAERS reports but they actually look at the medical records.

As for the ingredients, people who understand does toxicity don’t fear them.

“Little concern is given to innate health and family health history. ” Untrue. Your doctor does a full family history during your well check.

“Underweight babies are routinely given the same dosage using the same schedule as babies of normal weight. ” This is because vaccines are not dosed by weight.

      • The fact that the SIDS rates have gone down has more to do with the fact that all mattresses are now wrapped to prevent toxins from leaching…not from an increase in vaccination which is just a crazy assertion to make. The fact is that SIDS still occurs at the highest rates at the 2,4,6 month mark which coincide with the earliest vaccine schedule.

That kind of damage would destroy them financially and they know it. Outside of oil, pharmaceuticals are the biggest money maker in America and the bottomline with any corporation is profit not health. More vaccines = more money…and if there is disability or death along the way…oh well…cover it up and keep selling to the brainwashed masses with the fear propaganda ads. Oh btw, keeping running for the cures too because you just know they are looking for them lol

      • They already know the neurotoxin aluminum is linked to Alzheimers and dementia, it can cause brain damage so why is it such a stretch to realize that the accumulative amounts of aluminum in so many vaccines given to infants with immature immune systems would not also impact the brain and cause brain damage in some kids….oh because the junk science reports funded by the pharmaceutical companies say it is so safe just pour it on their cereal and let them enjoy it! In fact give more heavy metal aluminum and thimerosal so you can decrease SIDS by 50% lol and feed that absolute BS in a blog to parents. Good God. Just when you thought you have read everything…

      • from the National Vaccine Advisory Committee*
ABSTRACT. In the last 20 years, two thirds of all new vaccines provided worldwide have been
produced by a US network of independent industrial, governmental, and academic partners engaged
in vaccine research and development. To achieve the full promise of modern science and technology to prevent and treat disease by immunization, the delicate fabric of America’s cooperative and collaborative vaccine research relationships must be sustained and strengthened. The major partners are the federal government; four large companies–two US-headquartered (Wyeth-Lederle Biologics and Vaccines and Merck & Co), and two foreign firms (SmithKline Beecham and Pasteur Mérieux Connaught). Of the $1.4 billion that fund US vaccine research and development annually, 46% comes
from vaccine sales, 36% from US government (taxes), and 18% from risk capital. The CDC funds specific projects and the whole thing is overseen by the FDA who has approved such healthy marvels as Aspartame, hydrogenated oils and trans fats, red dye, MSG, GMO crap and all the “safe” drugs that were later recalled.

One of the most discussed environmental connections to disease is the relationship between aluminum exposure and Alzheimer’s disease. In truth, the connection applies to most neuro degenerative disorders, including Parkinson’s and ALS and neuro degenerative disorders in children. There is a lot of compelling circumstantial evidence, as well as laboratory evidence, for such a connection despite the fact there is no consensus at the moment.

Science today is the great whore – bought by the highest bidder and returning the results they want to see or else losing future grant and funding money. Scarcely a so-called public agency or non- profit organization exists without major ties to industry, including key board members provided by industry.
Do any of your precious main stream peer reviewed sources vouch for the safety and compatibility in humans of all of the various evil substances found in vaccines? And don’t try to use the old cop out of GRAS (generally regarded as safe) levels. Their is no level of toxin that is entirely safe and combinations of all the various vaccine ingredients have scarcely been studied.

      • Wakefield was already pushing for the use of separate vaccines over the combined MMR. The U.K. and U.S. governments took the single vaccines off the market. He is not alone with that. There are many people asking for the return of single vaccines.

        Liked by 1 person

      • No, Wakefield was in the process of patenting a single measles vaccine when he was concurrently researching colitis and autism and MMR.

Single dose vaccines would mean more jabs, more ingredients, more possible side effects, more visits to doc, less safety.

      • to be fair to Dr. Wakefield, he never mentioned the 28 reports. He mentioned 4
“it’s been replicated in Canada, in the U.S., in Venezuela, in Italy but they never get mentioned. All you ever hear is that no one else has ever been able to replicate the findings. I’m afraid that is false.”

At the time of the hearings, he stated, “We merely reported the parent’s description of what happened to their children, and the clinical findings. We made no claims about the vaccine causing autism. In fact, we said this does not prove an association. And all we urged was further research.”

      • No one has replicated his study. How could they? He took blood from children at a party, without ethical considerations. No one would do that again. They’d see their study retracted immediately and be subject to sanctions.

He took money from an attorney representing parents wanting to sue MMR makers for vaccine injury. No one is going to fund a study that way again. They will see what happens when you do. So, there will never be another study of 12 subjects all possibly wanting to sue for vaccine injury.

He had applied for a patent for measles vaccine. No one is going to give a scientist funding if they know he has applied for a vaccine that his study hopes to validate.

Finally, he misrepresented or altered medical histories for the 12. Again, if anyone ever does that again, they will lose their license. Just like Wakefield.

No one has replicated his study. Ever. Some scientists have found a correlation between autism and gut issues in some with autism. That is all.

I always like to go to the horse’s mouth

“I want to make one thing crystal clear for the record—my research and the serious medical problems found in those children were not a hoax and there was no fraud whatsoever. Nor did I seek to profit from our findings … despite media reports to the contrary, the results of my research have been duplicated in five other countries … I continue to fully support more independent research to determine if environmental triggers, including vaccines, are causing autism and other developmental problems. To claim that my motivation was profit is patently untrue. I will not be deterred—this issue is far too important.”

Wakefield was the victim of “a ruthless, pragmatic attempt to crush any attempt to investigate valid vaccine safety concerns”.

        Amen

      • Marge – I did. I actually read all 28 studies because a friend had sent me that same claim a year ago so I wanted to know if it was true (your original comment was “Wakefield’s findings have been replicated in 28 lab reports around the world” in case you forgot). I don’t think you have read them and I posted a link to analysis so you can see why they do not replicate Wakefield, in case you cared to be more educated on what you pass on as fact. Then you replied to me and said there were 5 studies – if these are different than the original 28 let me know. I’m betting they are part of that original set.

And yes, I did all that on my own before ever learning about this blog, which I found after watching the entire “Truth About Vaccines” series. Despite its claim to the contrary the series was incredibly biased and the little I knew about vaccines didn’t make sense with what they were saying. So I decided to look into their claims, especially as my daughter was almost due for her 6 month vaccines. I appreciate this blog for providing well-sourced information and not anecdotes/innuendo. I am much more educated on the topic as a result.

      • Yes, my fault for bringing up 28 lab reports. I don’t know what that is all about now or why someone made reference to them in the first place…maybe to discredit him further because they were not the original 5 reports Wakefield made reference too:

The following peer-reviewed scientific research papers duplicate Dr. Wakefield’s original findings: 1. Gonzalez, L., Endoscopic and Histological Characteristics of Autistic Children with gastro-Intestinal Symptoms. A.V.P. Pediatr., 2005. 2. Balzola, F., Panenteric IBD-like disease with regressive autism. Another piece in the jig-saw of the gut-brain syndrome? American Journal of Gastroenterology. 100(4):p. 979-981, 2005 3. Balzola F., Autistic enterocolitis: confirmation of a new inflammatory bowel disease in an Italian cohort of patients. Gastroenterology 128(Suppl.2);A-303, 2005 4. Sabra S, Bellanti JA, Colon AR. non-specific colitis and pervasive developmental disorder in children. The Lancet 352-234-5, 1998 5. Sabra A, Hartman D, Zeligs BJ et al., Linkage of ileal-lymphoid-nodular hyperplasia (ILNH), food allergy and CNS developmental abnormalities: Ann Allergy Asthma Immunol, 82:8, 1999

Dr. Andrew Wakefield, was hired by the International Child Development Resource Centre (ICDRC) in Florida as its Director of Research. Dr Wakefield told reporters, “The autism world is in crisis with the number of children affected skyrocketing. Not only does the medical establishment have no answers, it appears that it doesn’t want to ask the right questions. ICDRC breaks that mould. It holds tremendous potential and it will be an honour for my team and I to help realise that potential.”

The Director of ICDRC, Dr. Jeff Bradstreet, said Dr Wakefield’s decision to join them was wonderful news and would complete a “world-class” research team of specialists with expertise in all aspects of autism.

Dr Wakefield is investigating the possibility that the MMR vaccine, which combines live measles, mumps and rubella viruses in one shot, may cause bowel problems in some children which lead to autism.

I’ll pray for your 6 month old Stacey, that she develops no adverse reactions to the vaccines you are about to give her. If I was to give parents one piece of advice, it would be to delay the vaccines and wait until your child is 2 years old when their immune system is mature enough to eliminate toxins. Any ND (Naturopathic Doctor) gives the same advice. I wish I had waited. Too late now.

This one did not replicate Wakefield’s 1998 “findings” of a distinct autistic enterocolitis, although they do report a higher incidence of gastrointestinal problems in their autistic group.

        2. Balzola, F., Panenteric IBD-like disease with regressive autism. American Journal of Gastroenterology. 100(4):p. 979-981, 2005

This is a case report of one adult autistic patient with inflammed bowel.

        3. Balzola F., Autistic enterocolitis: confirmation of a new inflammatory bowel disease in an Italian cohort of patients. Gastroenterology 128(Suppl.2);A-303, 2005

This one is a meeting abstract that never saw the light of day as a peer reviewed study.

        4. Sabra S, Bellanti JA, Colon AR. non-specific colitis and pervasive developmental disorder in children. The Lancet 352-234-5, 1998

That is a letter, not a study. They are just saying they have been looking at similar issues as Wakefield but they study food allergies. They did not replicate anything.

        5. Sabra A, Hartman D, Zeligs BJ et al., Linkage of ileal-lymphoid-nodular hyperplasia (ILNH), food allergy and CNS developmental abnormalities: Ann Allergy Asthma Immunol, 82:8, 1999

I was not able to find this article on the journal website, not searching by author, not searching by title, and not by searching that volume.

It appears that you did not actually read any of those studies.

Thank you for the list of 5 studies – at a glance at least 2 of these were on that original list of 28, I’ll look at the others. As for who started the 28 lab reports I believe it is Mercola, so I doubt he was trying to discredit Wakefield as he’s one of the experts in The Truth About Vaccines.

Thank you for your concerns about my baby, she had her shots a week ago and is just fine. Only a mild fever that went away on its own. My son is also fully vaccinated and has never had more than a fever from vaccines either. He also knew (and could say) all his colors by 18 months old, is almost never sick, no allergies and is slightly advanced in the gross motor area. I am relaying this anecdote since I keep hearing anecdotes about vaccinated kids being sick or behind in some way.

If anything, it shows that more research needs to be done in this area which is exactly what Wakefield did say. If he did leave the ICDRC, I’m sure it was under honorable circumstances and not because of your attempts to vilify him further. So much for ignoring me.

Japan changed the start time for vaccinating from 3 months to two years and straight away their SIDS rate plummeted
Raymond Obomsawin, M.D. – “Delay of DPT immunisation until 2 years of age in Japan has resulted in a dramatic decline in adverse side effects. When DPT vaccination was begun at 3 to 5 months of age, the Japanese national compensation system paid out claims for 57 permanent severe damage vaccine cases, and 37 deaths. During the ensuing six year period, when DPT injections were delayed to 24 months of age, severe reactions from the vaccine were reduced to a total of eight with three deaths. This represents an 85 to 90 percent reduction in severe cases of damage and death.”

It coincides with the NCBI report…less vaccines, less doses….during the critical phase (before age 2) = less deaths, less severe adverse reactions. Whatever “science” report states the opposite is so full of it, you would have no choice but to follow the money trail of funding for it.

      • Most naturopathic physicians, especially those who specialize in naturopathic pediatrics, take a knowledge-based approach which is based on educating the parents to make an informed decision on which vaccines to administer, and allows parents to choose the timeline. Naturopathic doctors clearly list the risks of each vaccine, based on actual scientific evidence. They are aware of appropriate timing. Parents are given the CDC guidelines and explained the rationale behind the CDC schedule’s timing. ND’s will often point toward alternative vaccine schedules. This approach requires intelligent and responsible parents to weigh many options and make sound decisions. Most parents are happy to be given hard data. Parents, after all, only want what is best for their child.

I believe parents should be informed before they blindly follow a physicians recommendation to use a certain vaccine schedule. Parents should also know what ingredients are in each vaccine, and whether the virus is “live” or not. They should also know what to expect, what to do if their child has a bad reaction, they should be made aware of the risks.

        Expert Rev Vaccines. 2005 Apr;4(2):173-84.
Acellular pertussis vaccines in Japan: past, present and future.

Which says: “An antivaccine movement developed in Japan as a consequence of increasing numbers of adverse reactions to whole-cell pertussis vaccines in the mid-1970s. After two infants died within 24 h of the vaccination from 1974 to 1975, the Japanese government temporarily suspended vaccinations. Subsequently, the public and the government witnessed the re-emergence of whooping cough, with 41 deaths in 1979. This series of unfortunate events revealed to the public that the vaccine had, in fact, been beneficial.”

Yep… more babies died from pertussis! You cannot blame SIDS on a vaccine that they did not get. Again, we see the basic lack of truth from Marge and her friends.

They went from #17 in terms of infant mortality to #1 with the least amount of SIDS in the world after the moved to schedule to 2 years old. Then came a whooping cough epidemic and they reintroduced that vaccine. You can not dispute those facts or statistics from the Japanese government and the NCBI . If you are going to accuse me of posting biased anti-vaxx blogs, I will accuse you of posting biased pro-vaxx blogs…and so it goes.

      • Because SIDS occurs at the highest rates from 1-12 months old…not after 2…not even after one. SIDS is the leading cause of death among infants 1 to 12 months old according the the CDC. Once a baby reaches the age of 2, its immune system is mature enough to eliminate toxins..so of course SIDS is going to decrease after 2.

        Liked by 1 person

      • Marge, the claim made by Viera Schrieber and antivaxers is that Japan stopped vaccinating all children under 2 and SIDS rate fell. That is a lie. It did not. SIDS rate stayed the same and pertussis rate grew exponentially. When they added vaccines for infants back to the schedule, both SIDS and pertussis rates dropped. Because SIDS risk is cut in half by vaccines.

Infants die LESS often when they are vaccinated.

You can wait until your child is 2 before you give any vaccines. The child’s blood/brain barrier isn’t fully developed until age 3, so some parents wait for the pre-school shots at that age. No vaccines that contain thimerosal (mercury)..so no flu shots and no live virus vaccines (except for smallpox, should it recur).

It is entirely your choice and if a doctor says you can’t, they’re lying.

Until randomized controlled trials demonstrate the safety of giving vaccines during this time of life, it would be prudent not to give any vaccinations to children until they are two years old. Dr. Bradstreet who had two autistic children was found floating in a river with a gunshot wound to the chest. His office had been ransacked. He was about to attend the Autism-One conference with important news but never made it. Dr. Gonzalez was in perfect health when he died mysteriously after Bradstreet and no cause was found. Both families believe they were murdered.

(I myself had a relative die of a sudden heart attack while he was surfing and in apparent perfect health – there are not always symptoms beforehand. It caused his brother to go get a workup and it turned out that he too, a fit and avid tennis player, had asymptomatic cardiovascular disease that required heart surgery). Neither of these deaths are mysterious.

Until then, he had been in excellent health. Preliminary autopsy results do not support the initial belief that he might have suffered a heart attack.”

Prior to his death, he said in an interview and to family and friends, “I’ve been told drug companies know about my work but hope I get hit by a bus,” Dr. N. Gonzalez

        From the Bradstreet family

“It is our 100 percent belief that Jeff did not commit suicide.

Bradstreet’s brother Thom said that while the family knew in their hearts that Bradstreet was murdered, it wasn’t until they had the opportunity to review the case forensically that they realized the evidence supports their theory that his death was in no possible way a suicide, as has been reported by police and the mainstream media.

“People who knew him knew he would never take his own life,” said Thom, adding that information uncovered by a forensic scientist hired by the family validates that conjecture. After meeting with the medical examiner and reviewing case files and photographs, the private forensic scientist ruled that Bradstreet’s death was absolutely not a suicide.

“It is our 100 percent belief that Jeff did not commit suicide. Not only because of who Jeff was as a person, but because we looked at the science of it; we looked at the medical proof and it’s just not possible that Jeff took his own life,” commented Thom.

“Unfortunately, there’s an ongoing investigation so there’s not a lot we can share about the specifics. But the way the bullet entered into the body, it’s almost impossible for an individual to do that and it was far enough away that it left no tattooing, no significant burn marks or anything like that.”

His office was raided by officials with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration prior to his death.

      • Marge, these stories are sad. But, I chose to listen to the science and the parents who follow sound science and know their children are not vaccine injured. There is a whole large community of us at https://www.facebook.com/thinkingpersonsguidetoautism/

Have you read the Brian Hooker vaccine injury case? He told a sad vaccine injury story for nearly 20 years but when it finally got to vaccine court his child’s own medical records showed mom and dad and pediatrician all noted early developmental issues. His son was autistic from birth. Michelle Cedillo case is same. And I have read and watched many of these sad stories. Did you know there is a name on the Vaxxed bus of a baby who died from Krabbe Disease? Her parents refused to believe that and so they chose to blame vaccines. Krabbe Disease is a genetic disorder that is 100% fatal. Now, their unvaxed second baby has it but they still cannot handle it. This time, they are blaming mold in their apartment.

I could go on and on. I cannot account for why some parents refuse to see reason and blame vaccines irrationally for their health problems or their child’s but they are not helping anyone. Yes, vaccines can cause harm. We need to pay attention to that. But, they don’t cause SIDS, autism, allergies, eczema, asthma, epilepsy, MS, Krabbe Disease, POTS, and they don’t cause TM weeks later. They don’t cause suicide or drug overdoses or lyme disease or heart attacks or heart viruses or stroke.

        Like

      • and I completely disagree with you like these parents would…who do know that vaccines caused their children to regress. It caused my son to have asthma after his first round. He was rushed to hospital with trouble breathing and placed on oxygen and then he developed bronchial asthma…severe allergies after his second round requiring prescription drugs and finally diabetes type one after his third round. In the 80’s before the tripling of the vaccine schedule by the CDC (we received fewer than 10 vaccines growing up) only 1 in 2,500 children had diabetes type one. With the 36-40+ doses given today, the number stands at 1 in 300 kids in North America with diabetes type one and that number is rising.

Doctors started making reports in the medical literature as early as 1949 that some children injected with pertussis (whooping cough) vaccine (now part of the DPT or DTaP shot) were having trouble maintaining normal glucose levels in their blood. Lab research has confirmed that pertussis vaccine can cause diabetes in mice.
As diabetes research progressed in the 1960’s, 70’s and 80’s, there were observations that viral infections may be a co-factor in causing diabetes. The introduction of live virus vaccines, such as live MMR vaccine which is made from weakened forms of the live measles, mumps and rubella viruses, has raised questions about whether live vaccine virus could by a co-factor in causing chronic diseases such as diabetes.
One virus, the rubella virus, has already been shown to be associated with diabetes. One 1980 study concluded that rubella virus can infect pancreatic islet cells and that the infection can severely reduce levels of secreted insulin. Another study in the 1980’s demonstrated that, after live rubella vaccination, the rubella virus can persist in the body of a vaccinated person for many years.
Like rubella, mumps disease has been strongly associated with the development of Type 1 diabetes. Like the rubella virus, the mumps virus can infect pancreatic islet cells. And like the live rubella vaccine, there are persistent reports in the medical literature that some children develop diabetes after receiving live mumps vaccine.
An accumulation of scientific research today suggests that Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune disease. Autoimmunity is created when the immune system malfunctions and attacks its own body. Genetic predisposition and environmental factors (such as a viral infection) are thought to be co-factors in the development of autoimmune disease, including diabetes.
Because a vaccine artificially manipulates the immune system in order to make it act as if it has recovered from and is immune to a particular disease, some scientists are investigating whether vaccination can be a co-factor in the development of autoimmune diseases like diabetes.

Open your eyes Kathy, parents like the ones you see in the video above and the parents in the Regret movement and parents like me aren’t going away. We know what happened to our children, we know the cause and we understand why our voices aren’t heard. The science says…doesn’t cut it for us…we know the science on the other side of the issue…the science that rarely gets covered by mainstream media, the science the CDC and the pharmaceutical companies really don’t want out there. We won’t be silenced and we won’t be going away any time soon…but I am finished here. I think it is very important that parents do their own research on this issue. I wish I had. Too late now.

      • more like the 1950’s and then scientists working for cigarette manufacturers disputed this evidence to salvage cigarette sales. Propaganda ads re the safety of cigarettes continued to run in mainstream media. As late as the late 1960’s less than one-third of all US doctors believed that the case against cigarettes had been established and the majority continued to smoke. It was whistleblowers like Dr. Jeffrey Wigand in the early 90’s who brought the entire industry down.

Wigand slowly overcame his fear of retribution to expose the tobacco industry’s “scientific” backed lies about the health risks of cigarettes.

Wigand’s decision to become a whistleblower came at great cost to his personal life and even brought risks to his personal safety. The cigarette companies and their lawyers unleashed a ruthless smear campaign against Wigand. Wigand’s home and his lawyers’ offices were broken into and robbed of personal documents, and he received several death threats that forced him to abandon his home and live secretly in various hotels with a full-time bodyguard. (you think that doesn’t happen today…just ask whistle blower Brandy who was forced to abandon her home after it was repeatedly broken into while she received threats regarding her own personal safety and who can ever forget the smear campaign against Dr. Andrew Wakefield).

For braving such hardships, and exposing the lies of the tobacco industry, Jeffrey Wigand will go down in American history as one of the most daring and important whistleblowers of all time. He is an American hero. Tobacco companies had to pay billions of dollars to offset medical costs incurred treating smoking-related illnesses…but you can’t sue the pharmaceutical industry…so they can literally get away with murder…you can only report to VAERS and spend years in litigation proceedings and get a pay out if you are lucky. Royalties from every vaccine sold goes to VAERS to pay out for adverse reactions or death.

Good article that the main stream media (owned by 6 major corporations who all have shares in the pharmaceutical industry and Monsanto etc. and who receive billions in revenue from them) refused to print

more and more medical professionals are waking up about this issue. My best friend, a retired medical doctor, was one of them. There will come a point in time where you can’t shut them all up or be able to smear all of them. If you support organics, then you must realize the dangers of chemical toxic pesticides and herbicides on and in our food. I have a hard time understanding why people can’t understand that there are risks involved with chemical toxins in our vaccines as well.

        Dr. Derick Lonsdale MD says:
        January 18, 2016
The so-called “psychosomatic disease” is postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS). We have shown in several cases that HPV vaccination precipitates POTS by initiating thiamine deficiency and that POTS is actually early beriberi and would be easily reversible in its early stages. Leave this alone and there will be a gradual deterioration in cellular metabolism, particularly in the brain. Unlikely as this sounds, we have also shown that in some of these cases there are SNPs involving thiamine transporters that create genetic risk. We believe that the vaccination is a serious stress factor and coupled with genetic risk and an inadequate supply of dietary thiamine it can impose this devastating and potentially crippling disease. It clearly needs further research.

    • And where did I say that TM is never caused by vaccines? I said that in Colton’s case it is highly unlikely vaccines caused his TM. He had no symptoms after the first two HPV vaccines and then, weeks after the 3rd, developed TM. It is highly unlikely the vaccine was the cause, in his case.

The inflammation that causes such extensive damage to nerve fibers of the spinal cord may result from viral infections or abnormal immune reactions. Transverse myelitis also may occur as a complication of syphilis, measles, and Lyme disease. Cases in which a cause cannot be identified are called idiopathic.
Transverse myelitis often develops following viral infections. Infectious agents suspected of causing transverse myelitis include varicella zoster (the virus that causes chickenpox and shingles), herpes simplex, cytomegalovirus, Epstein-Barr, influenza, echovirus, human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), hepatitis A, rubella, and west nile virus. Bacterial skin infections, middle-ear infections (otitis media), and Mycoplasma pneumoniae (bacterial pneumonia) have also been associated with the condition.”

      • In Vaccine Court, if a subset of injuries occur with specific vaccines in a certain period of time after administration, the Court will rule that the vaccine caused the injury so long as no other cause of injury is found. In the case of HPV vaccine, it is often the latter doses and not the first dose that causes health issues. It is completely possible that Colton developed TM after his third vaccine dose. It can be expensive and time consuming to submit a claim and two out of three individuals applying for federal vaccine injury compensation have been turned away empty-handed. For those reasons, Colton’s family may not have bothered. The compensation program is fatally flawed and so broken that it should be repealed. Many parents feel it would be better to return to civil court without restrictions to sue vaccine manufacturers for injuries and deaths their children suffered after receiving federally recommended vaccines. Vaccine court judges have even agreed with parents and their attorneys that the compensation program has become far too difficult for plaintiffs.

      • I can’t be bothered to scroll way up to find a reply button to the 83 cases.

Analyzing a database of VICP published decisions and online federal court records, there were 83 cases of acknowledged encephalopathy and seizure disorder that included autism or autism-like symptoms. Most involved the combination vaccine for diphtheria, pertussis, and tetanus. The second most common was the combination vaccine for measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR). Awards ranged from $80,000 to $5.9 million.

Whether it was autism or “autism-like”, there is no denying that the vaccine court paid out for 83 cases of brain damage after vaccination after ruling out any other cause of injury.

      • “Fifty years ago, when the immunization schedule contained only four vaccines (for diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, and smallpox), autism was virtually unknown… Today, one in every 68 American families has an autistic child… Four million American children have Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. One in six American children are now classified as ‘Learning Disabled.’
Our children are also experiencing an epidemic of autoimmune disorders – Type I diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, asthma, anaphylaxis allergies and bowel disorders…
There is a growing body of evidence that implicates vaccines as a causative factor in the deteriorating health of children. The hypothesis that vaccines cause neurologic and immune system disorders is a legitimate one – vaccines given in multiple doses, close together, to very young children following the CDC’s Immunization Schedule. This hypothesis should be tested by a large-scale, long-term randomized controlled trial…
New knowledge in neuroimmunology (the study of how the brain’s immune system works) raises serious questions about the wisdom of injecting vaccines in children less than two years of age…
Parents should have the freedom to select whatever vaccination schedule they want their children to follow, especially since health care providers and the government (except via its Vaccine Injury Compensation Program) cannot be held accountable for any adverse outcomes that might occur.”

He is neither educated in autism nor infectious diseases, he is just an opinionated older retired guy.

So what? Science is not determined in the legal realm. The Vaccine Court rulings by the Special Masters actually require a lower standard for evidence than other legal court systems, which in turn are also lower than actual science.

This article is making a point that those pontificating on vaccines and autism do not know what they are talking about, especially a lawyer like Kennedy who does not seem to understand that there is every childhood vaccine offered in the USA no longer contains thimerosal. There is a big difference between objective and subjective evidence, and you are emphasizing the wrong one.

Since you also cannot understand that an old retired surgeon has absolutely no relevant training in autism and immunology, it is a safe bet to ignore your clueless opinions.

This is what you do not seem to want to admit….. you are clearly trying to avoid the issue relating to the risks and harms associated with vaccines. I am sorry if you think dismissing your opinions as uneducated is a sign of “rudeness”, but you have not shown anything other than copy/pasting of the standard anti-vaccine tropes. Although, it did help reinforce my knowledge of what a quack this guy is. Anyway, I still get e-mails from them – I thought about unsubscribing, but I’d like to know what they are up to. And this is what I got tonight. There it is – “buy this stuff from us”. I knew it. I knew there was an agenda there.

    _______

“It’s awesome to see how many of you guys are taking steps to get yourselves (and your kids) healthier after seeing The Truth About Vaccines series.

Remember, we learned that your best defense against disease is a robust immune system.

We’ve actually gotten a ton of emails in the past month about supplements… mainly “which ones should I take?”

Which brand? And what type? Just a multivitamin or something else?

Obviously, it’s different for everybody, and your needs will vary based on your age, dietary choices, current health, and number of other factors.

Believe it or not, I’m actually a supplement junkie — I’ve been researching and trying different supplements and combinations for better health and more vitality and energy for years.

And there is one overriding rule of thumb, and it’s this…

    Quality over quantity.

It does you no good to take a handful of supplements that you can’t absorb, or that your body will immediately pass.

When we first made our original docu-series, The Truth About Cancer, we compiled a ton of research from our experts on what to take.

    Here’s what we’ve learned…

Most of the cheap “drug store” supplements out there are garbage. They’re synthetically produced in a laboratory somewhere.

And most of the high-end, organically-sourced, food matrix supplements are way overpriced.

After years of testing and trying, we knew there was a better way. We knew we could create a high-quality line of products at reasonable prices that lined up with our experts’ teaching and were immediately bioavailable to your body.

That’s when Epigenetic Labs was born.

My partners and I started the company with the unwavering rule that we’d never settle for generic formulations and cheap ingredients.

Look, I’m not writing this to be a big sales pitch, and I want to be impartial and answer the question fairly.

But I do think everyone should be supplementing their diet in this day and age — the data backs it up.

Nutrient levels in the food supply are at a fraction of what they were 50 or 60 years ago.

To be fair, there are a LOT of good nutritional products out there that I still like and recommend. So I’m not saying you have to buy from us…

But I happen to think ours are pretty special. They’re unlike anything you’ll find on the market today, formulated with one of the top nutrition scientists in North America.”

    _____

Oh, please. “Ours are special?” “I want to be impartial?” Yep. Sounds like a real medical expert. No, it’s actually just another quack trying to make a buck. And the sad part is, people will line up to buy it. Then he’ll probably use the money to make another “documentary” and spread more lies.

      • Any condolences for this poor parent who is more than a little frustrated by her situation caused by a vaccine?

When my eldest daughter was 18 months old I dutifully had her receive her 18 month vaccination. Immediately after the vaccination she wasn’t right. She was unsettled, cried exhaustively, was very red and seemed lethargic. Over the following days she was not her usual self either. She was not as alert, was not interested in engaging with me, had reduced eye contact during communication and her language went backwards. I was terrified that she had been permanently damaged by the vaccination. When my husband returned home from being away during this event and quite quickly exclaimed, ‘She has regressed!’ there was no doubt in my mind that she had been harmed by the vaccination.

For the next few weeks she still was not right and seemed ‘out of sorts’. One month after her vaccination she had an anaphylactic reaction to a sliver of cashew. She had no previous history of allergy. The memory of cradling her blue limp body in my arms is seared into my memory. I thought she was going to die. It was not rocket science to link the anaphylaxis to the vaccination. I was determined to find out why this had happened and it became my mission to cure her.

I am a scientist. My entire tertiary education and career was geared towards ‘science based medicine’. I had no reason to doubt the efficacy or apparent success of the vaccination program. Now I feel raped by my education. Indoctrinated as a top student that could regurgitate ‘the facts’ which are too heavily influenced by politics and profit. How shamed I am now. This humiliation has driven me harder to find answers and to heal my daughter.

It wasn’t long after the anaphylactic event that I stumbled upon “Anaphylactic children – canaries in the public health mine shaft? by Rita Hoffman. This verified for me my gut feeling that her vaccination and her anaphylaxis were indeed related and enabled me to find the path to healing her.

Given that most mainstream Western medical practice is in complete denial of vaccine damage I knew I had to seek help outside of this sphere.

In addition to a cashew and peanut anaphylaxis, other issues she had now included many other food reactions, eczema, rash around her mouth, loose bowel motions with poor control, emotional instability, and difficulties engaging with other children and adults socially.

Our healing journey began with minimising any further toxic or inflammatory exposure through diet or the environment (certainly no further vaccinations), and progressed to healing the gut, providing nutrient dense foods, with absolutely no processed foods, and no sugar. I could assess her progress through changes in her eczema, rashes, demeanour, bowel motions and nut challenges. Eventually everything my daughter ate had been made by me from whole, mostly organic foods.

We almost never ate out. She always took her own food to kids parties and never accepted other people’s food. I had to know what was going into her at all times to gauge reactivity. It helped that the whole family abided by the same set of eating guidelines.

I stumbled across The Peanut Allergy Epidemic by Heather Fraser. This well researched book once again verified for me what had happened to my daughter – an innocent child’s immune system hideously manipulated and altered for the worse by an injection of toxic immune-reactive chemicals that had no place in her body for a pharmaceutically driven and ethically warped ‘greater good’.

I am now acutely aware that vaccines can be very harmful (and ineffective). My daughters’ vaccine injury has taken 5 years of our lives with a 110% commitment. Not to mention the awful stresses of living with EpiPens. And the more subtle yet no less stressful situations of dealing with ignorant and bigoted Western medical health professionals.

      • I always express empathy to anyone who has a loved one that is suffering or who lost a loved one. I don’t believe vaccines caused your child’s health issues but you have my condolences. I have friends who’s vaccinated children have been able to overcome serious peanut allergies. Perhaps a good allergist could help your child? As for Fraser’s book, there has never been peanut oil or peanut adjuvants in any vaccine, never. I don’t believe you are helping your child by calling her vaccine injured. There is nothing in vaccines that is toxic at those doses and vaccines do not cause allergies. Some good research is going into peanut allergies and the most popular theory is introducing potentially allergenic food too late.

Vaccines do not cause allergies and something that happens a month after a vaccine is not related at all to that vaccine. Find your child a very good allergist and you may be able to help her overcome her allergies.

      • How about condolences for this poor frustrated parent, or are you simply going to give her a lecture on how safe vaccines are and tell her she is wrong and to think for herself? It’s a good thing she did think for herself and did her own research and came to the proper conclusions.

Our daughter was the picture of health and as any other ‘responsible’ parent, I dutifully brought her to Well Baby checkups where she received all the vaccines according to the schedule. That is, until she turned one…

When she turned one, I brought her in for her first MMR vaccine and of course, never questioned anything because I figured doctors and nurses knew what they were doing. Éva cried of course so I comforted her and once home, gave her some Tylenol to make her comfortable. Just like after every vaccine she had received, she was always lethargic for a day or two so this time was no different. About three days post-MMR vaccine, she started showing signs of a cold (runny nose, fever). I had scheduled her 12 months photo shoot about a week post-MMR vaccine since I knew she’d be fussy but the runny nose never went away. I now use those photos as my point of reference as to when health problems arose. In fact, it worsened. And our daughter started snoring heavily at night while sleeping, something she had never done before so I figured she must be very congested. Days became weeks and the weeks became months.

One month post-MMR vaccine, Éva started crying and crying non-stop. At this time, the runny nose and fever continued to persist and she was still snoring heavily at night. Her fever spiked and Tylenol just wasn’t cutting it. At the same time, I started noticing other strange symptoms; she started losing weight dramatically, her tummy became incredibly swollen, her body was covered with eczema, she was losing the little hair she had, her skin tone became greyish, she became lethargic yet wouldn’t sleep at night. I could keep going and going. These were all symptoms she never had before. When I brought her to the pediatrician, all he found was a severe ear infection for which he prescribed antibiotics. I start administering the antibiotics but that was short lived. Her ear infections (in both ears) seemed to have healed but all other symptoms were still present and worsening, including the fever.

At this point, she lost her appetite and vomited whatever she managed to eat. Diarrhea kicked in as well. The fever spiked up once again so I brought her back to the pediatrician. More antibiotics were prescribed.

Éva finished her second round of antibiotics and by this point, but all other symptoms were still present, including the fever. By this time, the eczema patches were permanent, she continued to lose weight – no appetite whatsoever, chronic diarrhea, lethargy, her skin tone was grey and her eyes were sunken in. Oh, and the crying and screaming!

Back to her pediatrician we went yet again. And once again, another round of antibiotics – the third round of antibiotics within a six-week period. We headed home, uneasy about all this but were desperate for Éva to find relief so I reluctantly gave her the antibiotics, along with Tylenol. By this time, she had sores in her diaper area that were bleeding and just wouldn’t heal. The diarrhea and weight loss continued. And of course, so did the fever.

Two days into her third round of antibiotics, I started thinking maybe antibiotics are not the answer. Who gives three rounds in six weeks?

Soon after, I realized that doctors rarely prescribe this many courses of antibiotics in such a short amount of time. I approached him with all of Éva’s other symptoms: constant and persisting fever, lethargy, eczema, hair loss, severe weight loss, loss of appetite, vomiting, diarrhea, grey skin tone, constant whining, severe bloating, sores that don’t heal, easy bruising. She had at total of 23 symptoms – symptoms she never had before her first birthday.

The doctor’s reply? A virus, ‘because she attends daycare’’. I was at a loss. A virus? Yet, all other children at her daycare seem fine. Within the next two months, I consulted six other doctors, including two specialists at the Children’s Hospital. During this time, Éva started suffering from recurrent nose bleeds, a new symptom. And again, the same diagnosis every time; it’s a virus because she attends daycare.

Then, I started thinking and I realized something. Éva was fine until she had her first MMR vaccine and then she started getting sick. What if there was a correlation?? I started doing some research.

        My heart sank.

I found there is and can be a correlation. I decided to suspend all planned future vaccinations until I found clearer answers. I wanted and needed to find out what was going on as I started to question the safety of vaccines very, very seriously. I went back to the doctor’s office and requested the brand names of all the vaccines she had received. My request was met with great resistance and I was the one who was questioned as to why I wanted this information. A bell rang in my head and I started wondering why I was being questioned about obtaining the information I should have had in the first place?? I found this very troubling. I did end up leaving the office with the info I wanted (only because I had to threaten them that I’d come back with a lawyer) as I needed to look up what the side effects of the various vaccines were.

In the meantime, Éva’s condition was worsening, to the point where I had to keep her home. Between Christmas and Valentine’s Day, she lost another five pounds. By the end of February, she was 17 months old and weighed only 17 pounds and continued to lose weight.

During this time, she developed pneumonia along with febrile seizures, not surprising since a simple cold would last at least 5-6 weeks and she was battling one at that time. It’s important to note here that we started questioning general/mainstream medical practices when ill.

At this point, she looked like a starving African child we see on TV. While undressed, we could easily count almost every single vertebrae and rib from a distance. Fear in me kicked in. I suddenly realized our daughter was dying. What she was going through was a very slow death. She was still not eating, still vomiting everything she managed to eat, had severe diarrhea, was covered in unexplained bruises and everything else. Éva started looking like a severely neglected child, who was suffering from malnutrition. And I needed to do something fast. I knew hospitalization would be required very ,very soon but since all doctors I had met with denied something was seriously wrong to begin with, I was at a complete loss.

Western medicine seemed useless at this point since I was not getting the answers I needed. When my naturopathic doctor asked me about reactions to the vaccines she had received prior to her first MMR, I remembered her having diarrhea and a fever for two days at her two-month vaccinations, same symptoms but for four days at her four month vaccinations, then for 6 days after her six month shots . It’s only once I answered this question that I noticed the consistency in our daughter’s reactions! I never put two and two together before. So these reactions to her first MMR vaccine made perfect sense given the pattern.

After trying many treatments to try to relieve Éva’s symptoms over the course of a few months and nothing seemed to work, I opted for a $400 allergy test performed by our naturopathic doctor (that is not covered by insurance but at this point, I didn’t care). I was shocked when tests came back positive for thirteen different food allergies!! I was stunned because she never showed signs of food allergies before. She is allergic to wheat, gluten, dairy, goat’s milk, almonds, hazelnuts, oats, sugar, and cane sugar to name only a few. And at the same time, I found the vaccine inserts I was looking for and I could not believe the list of side-effects from the MMR vaccine, side-effects she was suffering from:

        Inflammation
        Persistent fever
        Vomiting
        Loss of appetite,
        Chronic diarrhea
        Chronic rhinitis
        Food allergies
        Autoimmune disorders
        Chronic ear infections
        Eczema
        General malaise
        Febrile seizures
        insomnia

I cried so much that night, feeling so guilty for not noticing anything before and even worse, the guilt as a mother; ‘I should have known better’.

Her condition has cost us over $10,000 worth of alternative care, consultations and treatments. According to the alternative specialists we have met, she would not have survived another 6 months in such a state.

We have stopped all vaccinations, even for ourselves, her parents. Her baby brother is completely vaccination-free, also injection-free. We refused to take any chances with our baby after doing our research and he is the picture of absolute perfect health as all children should be. As a result, we have become doctors’ worst nightmare as we question absolutely everything in order to obtain all the information we are rightfully owed before making any medical decision.

      • The kind of allergy tests naturopaths do are blood allergy tests and they are notoriously inaccurate. They are not really about producing a histamine reaction as real allergists do.

Inserts do not list side effects. They list adverse events reported without regard to causation.

That is a tragic story. I hope the child is doing better. If it had been my child, I would have believed the virus story and asked the doctors to do more testing to see which virus or even if the pneumonia was fungal. I would have sought the care of an allergist and not someone who is going to fleece me of $10,000. I also would have tried taking some time off work and seeing if time away from the daycare did not resolve the health issues.

Again, my sympathies to the family but vaccines do not cause allergies.

      • Save your faulty advice to these parents. Their daughter died from an adverse vaccine reaction

My husband, Terry and I were blessed with the birth of our second child, Katie Marie. She was absolutely beautiful. Her complexion was olive, her eyes dark blue and her black hair was unusually thick, with gold frosted tips. We joked that Katie looked like she had just stepped out of a beauty salon! I remember the attending nurses at Katie’s birth also remarked how much Katie looked like her daddy. And it was true, she had the same shaped face and coloring as her dad.

We were thrilled with our new baby daughter! She was a healthy, contented newborn, who nursed well, and gained weight according to schedule. She was indeed, the perfect baby!

Our son, Peter was 20 months old, at the time his sister was born. He adapted well to his new sibling. Life was good. We knew that we were so fortunate to have two wonderful children.

I took Katie to her well baby check up at two months of age. Since her older brother was fully vaccinated and healthy, I was anxious that Katie, too, be vaccinated. I was certainly aware of the benefits of vaccination. I believed that vaccination was a totally safe and effective procedure. I had no idea that childhood vaccines could harm babies. Naively, I believed that vaccines were thoroughly tested and would not be allowed on the market if they were not completely safe.

I had never been given information regarding the risks and side effects of vaccination by my family doctor. Therefore, I did not make an informed decision in choosing whether or not to vaccinate my children. In fact, I was never informed that I had a choice in choosing to vaccinate or not. The doctor did not ask about my family medical history to find out if my children were high risk for an adverse reaction.

Katie received the DPT-Polio vaccination. Within hours I noticed that she fell into a very deep sleep. I thought that perhaps the heat was affecting her and that was the reason that she slept so much. Katie would wake up to nurse, but her sucking was weaker and she nursed for a shorter period of time before falling into a deep sleep again.

The next day, I went to get Katie up from her afternoon nap. I was horrified to note that her left side was completely paralyzed. The left side of her face and her left eye drooped. Katie was admitted to Children’s Hospital.

They did physiotherapy with her four times throughout the day and once a week brought her to Children’s Hospital. Gradually Katie began to improve. She could move her little fingers and bend her left arm to her elbow.

We were so pleased with her progress. The pediatrician who took over Katie’s care after she was hospitalized suggested that I bring Katie back to our family physician for her four month DPT-Polio vaccination. No mention was ever made that Katie’s paralysis was related to her vaccination. I now know that Katie experienced a classic reaction to the vaccine. She NEVER should have received the second vaccination.

However, in my ignorance. I handed over my beautiful baby to receive her second dose of the DPT-Polio vaccine. It was like handing over “the lamb to the slaughter.”

Katie, once again slept an unusual amount of time. Following her second vaccination, once again she did not nurse as vigorously.

Following her vaccination, Katie woke in the middle of the night and screamed for hours. I could not console her. Her scream was high pitched and she sounded like she was in extreme pain. The product insert refers to it as ” the encephalitic scream,” caused by swelling of the brain. Screaming episodes and persistent crying are also listed in the product insert as an adverse reaction and contra-indication for further vaccination. My mother and sister were visiting at the time and my mother who has raised five children said that she had never heard a baby scream in that way before.

We rushed her to the hospital.

Katie was declared dead on arrival to Children’s Hospital. The doctors continued to work on Katie without reviving her. Our beautiful baby was declared dead.

I can’t begin to describe the pain we experienced over losing our daughter. All of our dreams and hopes for her died that day. We were denied watching her develop into a young woman and develop her gifts. Our son Peter was denied the enjoyment of growing up with his little sister and our future children, To say we were devastated does not do justice to our feelings. I have little memory of the two years following Katie’s death. I existed, I cared for my two year old son, but my grief was so great, and I was so totally enveloped in it. It was all encompassing. I carried a deep physical pain and heaviness around my heart for years.

Months following Katie’s death, Terry and I were on our way to bed, when I said to him, “I want to see what is on The Journal”, an investigative show that followed the news. I was transfixed to the television as I heard Edda West debating Dr. Ronald Gold from Sick Children’s Hospital, regarding the serious adverse reactions and deaths that can occur following childhood vaccinations. Edda’s daughter had experienced a serious reaction to her MMR vaccination. It was obvious that Edda had done in depth research on the vaccination issue.

I got in touch with Edda the next day and we spoke on the phone for a long time. She was wonderful, supportive and patient. She sent me a thick manila envelope full of information regarding the harmful and lethal effects of childhood vaccines.

The truth about the cause of Katie’s death as due to her vaccination has still never been recognized by the medical profession. Despite the fact that Katie exhibited a classic reaction to the vaccine, with fever, high pitched screaming, paralysis and death, all listed in the product insert.

So even in death, she has not been granted the dignity of the truth of how she died. As Katie’s mother and her advocate, I will continue to fight for her truth and the truth of countless other babies who have been sacrificed for an immunization program that refuses to look at the mounting casualties from the war on microbes.

  17. Oh come off it. She died from the vaccine virus and it was not a coincidence that her other symptoms which were identical appeared after both shots were given. The second shot should have never been given to her. Her unearthly screams and paralysis…the product insert referred to it as ” the encephalitic scream,” caused by swelling of the brain and the fact that both vaccines were later quietly removed from the market for “safety concerns” completely escaped you. Your readers are not nearly as dense as you are and can read the whole story and understand what happened. The sad part is this, vaccines can cause severe adverse reactions, paralysis and even death and it is happening more frequently then you know or will admit too. You can stick your head in the sand and pretend otherwise but it doesn’t change the outcome for these people and others like them.

  18. SIDS isn’t a ’cause of death’ its a description of death, claiming the cause ‘unknown’. In July 2017, the U.S. Court of Federal Claims published their findings in the case of infant J.B.’s parents V. Secretary of Health and Human Services. The parents were awarded damages through the Vaccine Injury Compensation Program for the premature death of their son due to vaccines. This important case decision validates that vaccines can contribute to and cause SIDS in infants. Courts, the FDA and independent science have all confirmed that vaccines contribute to deaths in infants. Several recent studies suggest that much of the decrease in SIDS rates since 1999 might be explained by changes in classification of cause of death. Some deaths that were once classified as SIDS were now being classified as other causes of death, such as accidental suffocation or other ill-defined and unspecified causes.

    • thousands of babies die per year of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome. SIDS is not a real syndrome, but a classification when the cause is unknown. SIDS rates tend to spike within THREE days of vaccine visits.

Premature babies have higher risk of sepsis and cardiorespiratory events after vaccination in the NICU

This study reports a significant increase in the incidence of sepsis evaluations, respiratory support, and intubation after immunization of premature babies in the NICU. The findings of this study confirm what a number of other retrospective studies have found—that low birth weight infants appear to have an increase in cardiorespiratory events and sepsis evaluations after vaccination.

      • VAERS received 896 reports of deaths after one dose of HIB vaccination. Median age was 6 months (range 0-10.22 months). Sudden infant death syndrome was the stated cause of death in 384 (51%) of 749 death reports with autopsy/death certificate records.
Consider also that VAERS suffers from profound underreporting. According to the VAERS site’s own disclaimer:

“Underreporting” is one of the main limitations of passive surveillance systems, including VAERS. The term, underreporting refers to the fact that VAERS receives reports for only a small fraction of actual adverse events. The degree of underreporting varies widely.”

      • Read the rest of your quote “As an example, a great many of the millions of vaccinations administered each year by injection cause soreness, but relatively few of these episodes lead to a VAERS report. Physicians and patients understand that minor side effects of vaccinations often include this kind of discomfort, as well as low fevers. On the other hand, more serious and unexpected medical events are probably more likely to be reported than minor ones, especially when they occur soon after vaccination, even if they may be coincidental and related to other causes.

A report to VAERS generally does not prove that the identified vaccine(s) caused the adverse event described. It only confirms that the reported event occurred sometime after vaccine was given. No proof that the event was caused by the vaccine is required in order for VAERS to accept the report. VAERS accepts all reports without judging whether the event was caused by the vaccine.”

Let me make it clear: Without vaccines we’d have more babies dying.

That is the problem I have with pro vaxxers like you, that you are either a paid shill or your cognitive dissonance is so strong that you will fight tooth and nail to deny any negative side effects to administering vaccines. Your dogma regarding vaccines is intolerable and shows your true colours. Anyone with an open mind and true reflection of the situation would openly admit that there are serious HEALTH issues with vaccines and would look to minimise the harms associated, however you seem hell bent on fearmongering and disinforming people into blind acceptance that vaccines must be taken. Vaccine or no vaccine, fully inform parents of the risks versus the benefits and let them make up their own minds.

      induce inflammatory and neurodegenerative changes
      [36-38].”

And, then you follow those notations and find one article about ASIA in sheep. ASIA is not accepted as a valid issue in humans. There is a study by Shaw, et al, about Gulf War Syndrome. Again, not accepted as valid. And an article about nanoparticles of alum in vaccines getting into the brain. There are no nanoparticles of aluminum in vaccines. They are much larger, microparticles.

So, really, you need to read the full study and see how they formed their conclusions.

      This study is not valid.

  19. Their hypothesis is a valid one for vulnerable infants and the Jama Pediatric NICU report is valid and advises caution. The simple fact remains that the classification for SIDS changed and currently, there is no way of knowing which infants will experience an adverse reaction to a vaccine. That is not something anyone can argue against.

      • Counting total number of infants dying a year did not change. That number, infant mortality rate, has continued to decrease yearly. So, even if SIDS was changed (which it was not) the overall infant mortality rate has decreased yearly for the last 100 years, including a 15% drop in last ten years alone.

The more we vaccinate, the more babies live.

      • And what does that actually have to do with vaccines? It is like you are trying to sow doubt and uncertainty over the recent statistics showing incidence of SIDS have decreased, and that vaccines have
have a very little probability as a cause, though they do prevent more infant deaths.

        Something that happened in Japan:

      • if you were following the discussion, the topic was on infants in the NICU.
Vaccine safety assessment in preterm infants is particularly challenging due to the frequency of adverse events intrinsically associated with prematurity. The risk of adverse events following immunisation in preterm infants cannot be predicted. The clinical condition (that is, the underlying condition affecting cardiorespiratory stability) at the time of immunization, however, is associated with an increased relative risk of adverse events following immunisation. In two observational studies evaluating the safety of vaccines involving preterm infants, immunisation triggered cardiorespiratory events in up to 47% of infants. Infants with pre‐existing cardiorespiratory symptoms appeared to have a fivefold to eightfold higher relative risk of cardiorespiratory events post immunisation. A higher rate of fever following immunisation was observed in affected infants along with vomiting, irritability, tenderness, and swelling. Caution has always been the rule of thumb there.

I also stated that several recent studies suggest that much of the decrease in SIDS rates since 1999 might be explained by changes in classification of cause of death. Some deaths that were once classified as SIDS were now being classified as other causes of death, such as accidental suffocation or other ill-defined and unspecified causes, so while it appears that SIDS rates have gone down, it may have more to do with the classification change.

So what? I looked at the title of the article, I read the article… oddly enough it has nothing about infants in the NICU. You are just trying to use that cherry picked” topic to twist the narrative to some small subsection of children. Children that have many other different risk variables that muck with the data. (no the least is that they get an RSV vaccine for actual reasons). And oddly enough more premature babies are surviving than before, but you’ll find some way to excuse that statistic. (when my sister was born two months early over fifty years ago the survival rate for three pound babies was very low, fortunately she survived after spending months in an isolette, with the only actual “effect” is being very lactose intolerant).

Aw, thanks. Actually I can be a bit of a jerk. Especially since you did the heavy work, and I kind of had to point out the obvious ironies (more pre-term babies actually survive, and the number of SIDS cases have gone down).

This week I am a bit more impatient since I am right now posting from a seven year old Windows 7 laptop since my less than two year old laptop has decided to randomly freeze for no apparent reason. Also almost thirty year old autistic son thought it would be cool to just refuse all test volunteer jobs suggested by the job coach because of “reasons.” So she suggested he find a few himself… um, yeah, cat shelters (which are flush with volunteers), a place in Atlanta, GA (diagonally across the country, and one reason he refused some suggestions is that they are more than a half hour by public bus) and something that let him use a laptop at home. Uh, no. Especially since his use of that laptop is contingent on him actually doing volunteer work to get out of the house and actually dealing with other people. (I told him if mine does not get repaired, that it will be mine)

While this is frustrating, and perhaps includes a bit of forehead slapping, it is just part of the whole dealing with a young man with autism. He has improved over the last few years. He actually does his chores without prompting, and told me that I had left a stove burner on (he even turned it off). He is an excellent house sitter.

I first heard about him through a speech/language disability listserv in the late 1990s that his word must be taken as valid because he testified in front of the US Congress. Uh huh. Then he popped up with his transdermal chelation cream. One guy who clung to that “cure” was JB Handley (founder of Generation Rescue, and all around whack-a-loon). I could not help but call it “Buttar Cream.” (I clicked the link near his name, and that took me back in a freaky waqy… including another reason I have little patience with those who are “Not a Doctor.”)

I left that listserv in 2005 when the Mercury Moms took over. I had posted a well researched email on the dangers of chelation titled “Bad Idea”, only to get an onslaught of nasty grams (including a few from what turned out to be an employee of the late Dr. Jeff Bradstreet, her job was to push more patients to him through social media by being a “concerned mother”). So I left. And then two weeks later Dr. Roy Kerry executed five year old Abubakar Tariq Nadama with IV push chelation just because the kid had autism. Harsh.

Add to the fact my first born, who was induced at 42 weeks. spent his first week of life in the hospital (Infant Intensive Care Unit then transferred to Infant Intermediate Care Unit… initials don’t work here). That kid actually was sent to the emergency department a bit over a year later with seizures from rotavirus, and five years later I had to deal with his six month old baby sister with chicken pox (one year before there was a vaccine). Plus I have a sibling who was born too soon and was not expected to live (our mother was a heavy smoker), and I know of several other premature baby families, all with interesting stories (a must read is Dr. Jen Gunter’s blog on her experience with premature triplets, spoiler: one died).

So, yeah, I am a jerk. But I have my reasons.

  20. you are forgiven for being a jerk. Losing a child to a deadly virus or something like autism is just as devastating as losing a child to an adverse reaction to a vaccine, so you will have to forgive the outbursts of parents who have experienced that and who are equally frustrated.

    • “Losing a child to a deadly virus or something like autism is just as devastating as losing a child to an adverse reaction to a vaccine,”

You really need to rethink the “losing a child to autism” mentality. You are echoing Polly Tommey’s poisonous thinking, actually click on the LeftBrainRightBrain link. Her attitude is unforgivable. Do not be like her, or anyone else who thinks an autistic person is “lost.” They are not lost, they full human beings who require acceptance and accommodation.

But also, since you brought “losing a child to an adverse reaction to a vaccine” meme, you now need to provide the PubMed indexed studies by reputable qualified researchers that any vaccine on the present American pediatric schedule causes more harm than the diseases. Make sure it covers a real representative population, not a small population with many confounding comorbidities like underdeveloped lungs: http://handtohold.org/resources/helpful-articles/rsv-101-what-every-nicu-parent-needs-to-know/

      • I simply meant that it must be hard or challenging to raise an autistic child especially if the autism is severe. It can’t be easy. Are you really going to throw that in the faces of parents who just lost a child to an adverse vaccine reaction? Stats and percentages? Sorry for your loss but the benefits of vaccinating your child outweighed his/her death? I agree with the person who mentioned genetic testing to prevent adverse reactions from happening to any child because right now they have no way of knowing who will have one.

      • There are not many parents who have lost a child to an adverse vaccine reaction. Maybe less than 1 a year.

There are no genetic tests to predict who will have anaphylaxis to a vaccine. Most true vaccine adverse events, like Guillane Barre (sp?) or Transvere Myelitis, are more likely to happen after a viral infection. So, the person is susceptible to those events with a virus or a vaccine but we cannot yet predict that. Most all vaccine adverse events are similar.

Vaccines do not cause SIDS. Most all claims of “vaccine reactions” are not actually things vaccines cause.

Because only a jerk would say that.

“Are you really going to throw that in the faces of parents who just lost a child to an adverse vaccine reaction? Stats and percentages?”

Yes, I want actual studies by qualified reputable researchers on the relative risk of vaccines. So just post the PubMed indexed studies that any vaccine on the present American pediatric schedule causes more problems than the vaccine. If the vaccine is MMR, then prove it causes more encephalitis than measles, which is about one in a thousand cases. Measles also causes about one in ten to get pneumonia, with about half of them requiring hospital care.

“Sorry for your loss but the benefits of vaccinating your child outweighed his/her death?”

So how many deaths from influenza vaccine this year? Is it over one hundred kids, which is how many died during this past season from the actual disease:
        https://www.cdc.gov/flu/weekly/index.htm

You made a claim about vaccine deaths, therefor you need to provide actual factual evidence for that claim. Do no mention VAERS, and make sure the author of the study is reputable and qualified (and not paid by the Dwoskin Family Foundation).

“I agree with the person who mentioned genetic testing to prevent adverse reactions from happening to any child because right now they have no way of knowing who will have one.”

What genetic tests to prevent adverse reactions? List them, and their supporting PubMed indexed studies. You made the claim, therefor you need to provide supporting evidence for that claim.

I know that my parenting path has not been as I expected but I did not go down an irrational, angry path for any of it. I would encourage parents who claim vaccine injury to try to see reason. That is all I can do. I suffered a bad reaction to MMR. I recovered. I did not turn antivax and refuse all other vaccines. My children had MMR just fine. I had a deathly allergic reaction to sulfa drugs. I did not turn against antibiotics. I suffered three miscarriages. I had had no vaccines. I did not dive off the deep end and blame something irrational. Science helped me have the two kids I do have. My oldest child is autistic but I don’t call her damaged. I have empathy for people who have struggles but I am also very frustrated with antivax, irrational responses to adversity.

I know parents of severe autistic children and it is hard to look after their daily needs. That is simply a statement of fact and a reality for many. If anyone is truly interested in the number of serious adverse reactions to vaccines where the patient died, suffered a life-threatening illness, or suffered a reaction that resulted in prolonged hospitalization or that resulted in permanent disability, check the records of every civilized country that keeps valid statistics. It is not one death a year. In one year alone in the USA, 288 SIDS deaths were attributed to a vaccine reaction 24 to 48 hours after injection. That does not include deaths resulting from other adverse vaccine reactions to individual vaccines like the flu shot etc. Do not bother getting your stats in here. They are not reliable.

There are zero SIDS deaths attributed to vaccines. If you are getting that 288 number from VAERS, that is raw data, unconfirmed. Vaccines cut the risk of SIDS by 50% and are one reason why we have an all time LOW SIDS rate in USA and our infant mortality is at an all time low having fallen 15% in last ten years alone. Now, we have services to support her, a battery of specialist, I was very familiar with children’s hospital her first few years. So what? Nothing is perfect. It is fallacy to expect that your offspring will be perfect. Perfection does not exist. We all have issues. Some people just have more challenges than others. We are SO BLESSED to live in a time where we have laws and programs that enable our kids to all learn, to all be taught, to all get services (assuming the latest republican health bill disaster does not pass). I have friends who have severely disabled children and they all have good attitudes. (I could not be friends with anyone who lived their life as a pity party “woe as me” all the time). They made the best of what they were given. They see their children as beautiful and lovely and loving and capable, even if they cannot verbalize or if they struggle to communicate of they have seizures or difficulties walking. My daughter is high achieving, in terms of disabilities. Her first pediatrician used to say she was “on the high end of normal.” So what? I cannot stand those autism warrior moms who have online pity parties weekly because they think the illuminati or Bill Gates or “big pharma” ruined their chances for a perfect family. GET OVER IT. In normal English usage the use of “losing” is synonymous with “death of”. Think about that. With that verbiage you are equating autism with death of a child, which is exactly what PollyTommey was advocating,

We did ask for evidence for your assertions, but you provided none. With the above quote you told us those with autism were nonpersons. What are we supposed to think?

Here is what you can to do to redeem your poor choice of words: actually help with finding the genetics of the wide vast of genetic disorders on the autism spectrum. At least three of the genetic disorders I listed in my comment to you are known genetic sequences defined on the autism spectrum.

At this point about half of the genetic sequences that are related to the autism spectrum are known, some with specific medical interventions that are know to help (and harm). So there is a massive research call out to those who can help. It literally just requires spit from both parents and the autistic individual, and to fill out a form. Stupid comment. I think that is because they know their child was damaged by a vaccine whereas the other conditions are not manufactured in a lab but are genetic in nature. It’s like the MADD moms who speak out when their children are hit by a drunk driver and are left paralyzed or worse. Their “whinefest” changed the laws in this country and held drunk drivers accountable for their actions. Moms of children injured by vaccines don’t want to get over it like the MADD moms don’t want to get over it. They love their children and are spreading awareness. They want the same justice as the MADD moms. They want accountability. Autism warrior moms or moms of children damaged by vaccines can’t stand you or your website either so no loss there.

What evidence did they have to come up with to “know their child was damaged by a vaccine”? Just list the PubMed indexed studies by reputable qualified researchers that they used to prove their assertions, Or perhaps the ruling from the US Vaccine Court, which can be found online.

The Mothers Against Drunk Drivers had actual evidence, like the alcohol levels of the drivers who caused the accidents. There was some actual studies to support their assertions. Just like there were studies to support John Salamone’s assertion that his son got polio from the OPV, which is why he worked with the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices to change to the use of the IPV for polio.

Personally I tired of some of those “warrior moms” on internet listservs who pushed questionable treatments like chelation in comments. Like me! Even though we have never met in person, we are kindred spirits (and live just a few hours of driving apart). Seriously we were clued in that something was not right when our kid had seizures when he was just two days old (this was before there was an HepB vaccine). Because of those seizures we knew to look for delays, and they were there at his evaluation when he was just a bit over two years old.

It was not a surprise, and there was no reason to blame vaccines. We were just very happy to have a family doctor who took our concerns seriously in the very early 1990s and did not take the typical “wait and see” attitude. Our son actually got early intervention. With that intervention he actually learned to speak. It is speech that you need to listen to patiently to understand. Which should be a required accommodation. Much like you would for someone who stutters. Just be patient.

According to the legal ruling in Mr. Hooker’s suit in the US Court, he missed the significance of a pediatric evaluation early in his son’s life. Therefore he chased “vaccines caused it” rainbows and ignored the real therapeutic needs of his son. He went down a very expensive rabbit hole that had absolutely no benefit to the care of his son. His lack of patience and acceptance has cost him more than he can know… and that does not just include his efforts in a withdrawn paper nor the attempts at the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program.

All we can do is hope the best for Mr. Hooker’s son. We hope he gets the therapy he requires and not some quackery dreamed up from self proclaimed “experts” like the Geiers. But sadly, we all know this wishing is all for naught given Mr, Hooker’s history. He does not care.

But we care. Look at your kids and rejoice at what they can do. Mine told me to look at the potatoes I had on the stove, which I was not close to due to having to be in another room. I thanked him for his vigilance (which I really needed, my kitchen laptop is not working).

The point is that autism is not a death sentence. It is a difference. Learn to deal with it, and celebrate the benefits!

PS: I just finished reading two books by John Elder Robison: Look Me In the Eye and Raising Cubby.. They are both good reads. My son is not at his nor his son’s cognitive level, but there are several similarities.

That can not all be explained by genetics. You will find similar jumps with other conditions that were virtually unheard of when I was a child in the 50’s and 60’s.

        Like

      • In 1950, there were 3 to 4 childhood vaccines typically given when a child entered school.
In 1983, there were 10 recommended vaccines by the age of 6 years old (24 doses, 7 injections, 4 oral doses for polio).
In 2010, the CDC vax schedule totaled 68 doses with more than half given by the time a child was only a year and a half old.
In 2016, the schedule has increased to 74 doses by age 17 with 53 injections and 3 oral doses of rotavirus.
These rapid increases in the vaccine schedule mean that a 6 month old baby born today would receive over 2.5 times the number of vaccines as the maximum permitted for a 6 year old back in the 1980’s. And, by the time that same baby was 12 years old, he/she would have received over 7X the number of vaccines as a child born 30 years ago.
Predictably, children today are suffering from autoimmune disorders, behavioral problems, and physical disabilities at a rate growing in lockstep with the skyrocketing number of shots and the situation is growing worse with every passing year. My generation in the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s was far healthier then today’s generation of children. You don’t have to be a doctor or scientist to see that reality and if you don’t see it, then you are not paying attention.

  24. Along with cancer, vaccine safety is one of the most controversial and incendiary topics on the planet right now. There’s a lot of money at stake and fear-mongering surrounding this issue.

But there are a few facts which are indisputable…

We have an epidemic of children with chronic health problems. 1-in-4 kids (elementary through college) are now taking some type of prescription medication.

And the number of vaccines recommended/required has quadrupled since I was a kid in the late 70’s.

This is not because we’ve had an epidemic of infectious diseases, and need more vaccines, it’s because vaccines are extremely profitable for the drug companies. Vaccines are guaranteed income for them every year. The more childhood vaccines they can convince the government to require, the more money they make. It’s that simple.

And there’s a revolving door between the CDC (who mandates the vaccines) and the pharmaceutical industry. Julie Gerberding the former director of the CDC is now president of Merck’s vaccine division. The CDC also owns patents on dozens of vaccines

Having said all that, I am not anti-vaccine.

My two girls have both had some vaccinations, but we delayed them and spaced them out. And I’m happy to report that they have ZERO health problems, no allergies, asthma, ADHD, etc.

So I’m not against vaccines. I am FOR vaccines which are proven to be 100% safe and effective by independent third party research, not by research done by the drug companies who made them or by former drug company scientists now working for the CDC.

We are seeing a shift in public opinion about vaccines that will hopefully put pressure on our government to root out the corruption and collusion, and make safe effective vaccines a priority.

Not really. I really do not want to go back to the schedule of the 1970s that included OPV and DTP (the MMR vaccine was introduced in 1971). Neither do I want to again listen to the grief of a mother whose toddler died from meningitis due to getting the disease that the HIB vaccine prevents (met at mommy/baby gathering where she brought her twin babies). I could have also done without a kid getting rotavirus to the point of requiring IV fluids in the hospital emergency department. I also wished I could have skipped taking care of a six month old with chicken pox. You have no idea how much grief you are missing because some rather nasty diseases are not circulating as much as they did just twenty five years ago.

“Vaccines are guaranteed income for them every year.”

Other than a voluntary recommended influenza vaccine, a person can go years with a recommended vaccine. How is that guaranteed income? How is getting two MMR doses in an entire lifetime more profitable to a company versus providing the medication and hospital equipment to treat measles? About one in ten with measles get pneumonia, and about half of them require hospital care:
      J Infect Dis. 2004 May 1;189 Suppl 1:S4-16.
The clinical significance of measles: a review.

So, again, citation needed. Provide an economic explanation that proves these two wrong:

      • I don’t see an epidemic of sick kids. I have worked in education for 30 years and have two kids in public school now. I see healthy kids, kids who are getting help for their ADHD when they would have been kicked out of school when I was a kid. I see kids not suffering asthma attacks because they have meds now. I see kids getting diagnosed with disabilities we would have completely ignored when I was a kid. We have special education laws not protecting children’s right to education, all children. We don’t kick them out anymore. We don’t fail them anymore. We don’t ignore them anymore. These are all good things.

      • It is not about having greater benefits. It is about removing the risk. When vaccines are helping to create some of the very conditions you speak of confirmed by “cherry picked” pub med studies, therein lies the problem even if you refuse to see it. Thanks James Peters! Well said.

      • We cannot remove all of life’s risks. Sorry. That’s impossible.

Also, I do not cherry pick. Scientific consensus is not the same as cherry picking. Cherry picking is when you find one or two studies by Shaw, funded by Dwoskin Foundation, which confirm your agenda.

What risk compared to the actual diseases? Please do provide the PubMed indexed studies that show the present American MMR vaccine causes more harm than measles. A disease that depresses the immune system for several years and causes even more harm from other diseases:
        https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/28646947

Then while you are at it, provide your proven method to protect a newborn infant from pertussis. Oh, and come up with those verifiable economic studies that show it would be cheaper to let kids get sick rather than prevent the diseases.

Also, skip posting the Gish Gallop of nonsense that included articles about smallpox vaccine, and spurious animal studies (bison?).

‘How is that guaranteed income?’ DUH because every child has to have one, so every year there are hundreds of thousands of vaccines administered.

‘How is getting two MMR doses in an entire lifetime more profitable to a company versus providing the medication and hospital equipment to treat measles?’ Exactly how many children a year get this…?!? It’s certainly not one or two, try tens of thousands.

Your logic does not compute. You are wrong!!

      • Well, MMR costs about $20 per shot, so $40 for two. If you take one birth cohort of 4 million children a year, it would cost $80 million to vaccinate all of them with MMR. If, however, all of them got measles, like everyone did back in the day, and 30% were hospitalized at a cost of $10,000 each, then that would be 1,200,000 hospitalized a year at a total cost of $12,000,000,000. So, $80 million spent to save $12 billion. No brainer.

Googling helped me find a source for your $4 billion comment. That is the global flu vaccine market estimate. The article says US flu vaccine market is $1.6 billion.

        https://www.cnbc.com/2015/10/19/the-16-billion-business-of-flu.html

Let’s compare that to the cost influenza has on the US economy.

“Each year, on average, 5 percent to 20 percent of the U.S. population gets the flu, tens of thousands are hospitalized and thousands die from flu-related illness. This costs an estimated $10.4 billion a year in direct medical expenses and an additional $16.3 billion in lost earnings annually. ”

        https://www.cdcfoundation.org/businesspulse/flu-prevention-infographic

That $1.6 billion seems money well spent.

      • Ooooh! It’s a price list!

How does that compare with the treatment of the diseases? Explain why it is better for a parent to take off for two weeks to care for a child with chicken pox, especially if they are an hourly worker with no benefits (store my youngest used to work for would only schedule 39 hours to skip paying sick leave). Please tell us why it better for kids to get measles with a one in ten chance of pneumonia, with about half requiring hospital care and being hooked up to artificial ventilation.

I can tell you from painful experience a trip to the emergency department costs lots more than the entire vaccine schedule. The two mile ambulance trip was more than $700. The final bill for the open heart surgery was more than what many earn in a year (genetic heart disorder, frequency of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy is about one in five hundred).

Now come up with a real economic analysis that disproves these papers:

    • You seem to have both a problem with literacy, finance and honestly. At least I provided actual economic studies, the vaccine schedule has not changed that much. Certainly not the MMR schedule, it has not changed in almost twenty years.

What have you provided? Just a price list. I have been in the emergency department when my oldest had to get IV fluids because of rotavirus. That was over twenty five years ago. Trust me that was not cheap. I gave you the cost of the more recent ambulance trip because costs have gone up.

When my kids were young a local hospital had a daycare for sick kids, so their parents could go to work. It even had a special chicken pox isolation room. The problem was that it was not cheap, it was definitely more than what someone working in retail without benefits could afford. When chicken pox came to the school when my oldest was in kindergarten, one mom was very glad her employer’s benefits included covering the cost of that special daycare. Your dismissal of the effects of someone missing work due to a sick kid screams self-righteous privilege.

The hospital closed that special daycare years ago due to lack of demand. Why did the demand go down?

Again why do you think it is cheaper to treat diseases instead of preventing them? Get those numbers, make sure they are from verifiable sources (definitely not Sayer Ji). By the way, here are some known causes for autism:

    • Sing it Cim. There goes Chris quoting more reports that no one will read while vaccineworksblog cheers on her only fan. Meowwwww baby. This cat has something to say.
An outbreak of measles occurred in a high school with a documented vaccination level of 98 per cent. 70 per cent of the cases were students who had histories of measles vaccination at 12 months of age or older. Kids who were adequately vaccinated individuals were sources of infection for at least 48 per cent of the cases in the outbreak. Pubmed study # who really cares. In a more recent outbreak at another high school about half of the cases were in teens who had received the recommended two doses of vaccine in childhood. 52 out of 98 kids who had been fully vaccinated against measles, got the measles. The recent outbreak of mumps are also happening to children who were fully vaccinated. Vaccination is no guarantee of immunity to a disease and mutating viruses. The flu vaccine is proof of that and is basically a dismal failure if a good percentage of the studies are to be believed. One study showed that it actually lowered the immunity of the elderly making them more susceptible to illness and even death. Serial flu shots were shown to limit the body’s ability to fight the virus in the future all while dumping mercury into the system which is 1,000 times more neurotoxic then lead. 25 mcg in the average flu vial when the EPA safety limit is 5. 51,000 ppb of mercury in a flu vial when a can of tuna has 250 to 500 ppb…..the old “there is more mercury in a can of tuna then in a flu shot” line is a fallacy, so is the CDC website on this issue, plus there is all the difference in the world between digested tuna and injected mercury into the body. I believe over-vaccination with the accumulative amounts of chemicals in a young person is causing an epidemic of other health conditions in children which are lifelong conditions. They are trading possible immunity to diseases to possible lifelong medical conditions for children. That is not okay despite all the concerted efforts in here to suggest otherwise. As for protecting the global financial empire of the pharmaceutical companies who manufacture this chemically laden toxic stuff with no adequate long term safety studies being done, read the international bestselling series Confessions of an Economic Hit Man written by a former economic hit man who worked for corporations with ties to national agencies. Oh yes, there are economic hit men and jackals operating in the good old USA and around the globe who work for the corporations and even some government agencies who go to great lengths to protect their power, control and financial empire…everything from threats, extortion, payoffs, false reports to actual murder. Hey, we all watched Erin Brockovich. We know how it works. Read the books. I think The Truth About Cancer series and The Truth About Vaccine series are exposing some long overdue truths about the industry despite what these two bored housewives have to say.

“An outbreak of measles occurred in a high school with a documented vaccination level of 98 per cent. …”

That was in the late 1980s and the reason a second MMR vaccine was put on the schedule in the mid-1990s. Funny coming from the guy who complained that a 2004 economic study was too old (and about that same issue).

“Vaccination is no guarantee of immunity to a disease and mutating viruses.”

Hence the need to community immunity. Something you depend on as you leech protection from your responsible neighbors.

“The flu vaccine is proof of that and is basically a dismal failure if a good percentage of the studies are to be believed.”

I bet good money that was from prior to when two vaccines were recommended. Since 2000, all measles outbreaks in USA and Canada have been in 70-80% unvaxed or no history of vaccination persons.

        https://www.cdc.gov/measles/pubs-mmwr.html

The mumps studies are happening in two places:
        1. On college campuses, where nearly 100% of students are vaccinated with at least two MMRs, a few kids got mumps. At Harvard, 41 cases out of 20,000 students. Harvard allows only medical exemptions and has a 99% vax rate. So, that is medical science win that only 41 kids got mumps. Big win for the vaccine for protecting the rest. Every other college campus outbreak is same.

        2. In WA state and in Arkansas, mumps outbreaks were tied to Pacific Islander communities, mostly people from Guam and American Samoa. Even though these islanders are American citizens, they don’t have poverty benefits and medical care through the American government. Many are undervaccinated because of lack of healthcare and poverty. They come here and bring mumps with them and spread it. In the case studies, over half the adults were unvaxed and about 30% of kids were unvaxed. So, the vaccine is working fine but it does not give 100% protection. In a community with a lot of unvaxed people, those who are vaccinated but did not get strong antibodies are still at risk. This is why herd immunity is so important.

For stats, you can read my blog post about Suzanne Humphries visiting WA state.

There is no mercury in any vaccines. Thimerosal is no more mercury than salt is sodium.

Please, the “vaccines are toxic” screed is so old and tired. So long ago debunked. I have been doing this 14 years and it was debunked already back then!

There is not an epidemic of health concerns. You’ve been misinformed. Kids are healthier than ever. We just no longer let them suffer, fail school, or live their lives in institutions.

There is not vast global pharma conspiracy. It would be impossible for all the pharma companies to pay off every single country on earth to vaccinate. That argument is silly.

The Truth series are full of lies. Please see my blog series on the truth about vaccines.

Neither my super fan Chris nor I are “bored housewives.” We both work and chat about vaccines online for free in our spare time.

I did notice this guy did do a bit of cut and paste. Specifically this phrase: “An outbreak of measles occurred in a high school with a documented vaccination level of 98 per cent”

The first Google link to this is this, a 1987 study:
        https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/3826461

I recognized that old stale anti-vaccine trope because it was so very very old… thirty years old! This, and a few other outbreaks, created a change in the mid-1990s to add a second MMR vaccine. Which is why there existed a 2004 economic study on the change, which I posted.

What was the reaction form Mr. Vaccine Damage? Let us check: “More word salad, more cherry picked links which show nothing. 2004, 2009. It is 2018. Happy New Year Bitches!”

      • Thank you, I was not aware. And more reasons to avoid Facebook.

I sincerely doubt we can claim “troll shaming” when the guy actually used a thirty year case report as evidence that there was a problem with a twenty year vaccine schedule change?

Does he not know that 1987 happened before the 1990s or 2004? Should we shame him with pure arithmetic ignorance? Um, yes, we can. No one should use issues observed before and then corrected as reasons for issue in the present day! Science moves on, and real scientists admit they are wrong and accept changes.

This is exactly why thalidomide was not approved for use in the USA during the 1960s, why smallpox production in the USA changed in the 1920s, why even more oversight was given to vaccine production of polio vaccines after the “Cutter Incident”, and why John Salamone is a hero for his efforts to replace the OPV wtih the IPV after what happened to his son.

I am amazed that Mr. “Vaccine Damage” is ignorant of all this. But, then again, he could never tell us why it was cheaper for kids to get sick instead of preventing several diseases. Perhaps he works for “Big Hospital.”

Just joking. 😉 But I do have a story about hospital treatment that some sleep deprived intern ordered for my oldest when he was young (hooking up a kid with croup to an IV for possible surgery, um… which mostly never happens, I never met that particular intern… and after that episode I pretty much knew he was going to avoid me)… I turned the tech away because it would have made my kid worse (stress makes croup worse), but it showed up in the insurance paperwork. Seriously I was too tired to deal with it.

Haven had a kid who needed a “blow by tube” and other forms of artificial ventilation (especially after open heart surgery), I wonder about Vaccine Damage’s enthusiasm for the return of the actual diseases. Is his job dependent of the sales of those machines? Seriously, these are questions that must be asked and answered.

I asked Mr David to please clarify his son’s health issues. Although he has continued to post on the CDC page, he has ignored my question. He claims the official cause of death was SIDS but a pathologist said it wasn’t. That is conflicting, so I asked him to clarify. Also, he has not filed a vaccine injury claim. He started that post, so it is on him to at least provide details about why he thinks vaccines caused SIDS, particularly when SIDS is at an all time low and there is a 50% reduction in SIDS in vaccinated babies.

Also, he obviously sued the hospital. VICP does not settle out of court. Therefore, something happened at the hospital. The hospital made an error. This is not a vaccine injury.

For everyone stating emphatically that SIDS and VACCINES are unrelated…..request minutes from A.C.I.P. meeting May 1986 from CDC. Three of us discussed our children’s deaths, all written off as SIDS….one gentleman told of his almost 2 yr old healthy son, dead less than 24 hours after vaccination….2 years old SIDS? My daughter died 33 days after a pediatrician confirmed severe reaction to DPT with continuous symptoms from within hours of shot to day found dead….pathologist did not perform tests requested through coroner’s office, disposed of tissue/samples and several months after he said he would investigate had his secretary inform me that “(he) no longer felt it was in his best interest to further discuss the subject with me”.

A.C.I.P. btw, advised that 1) my daughter’s symptoms were NOT consistent with SIDS. 2) my daughter’s symptoms were consistent with a severe vaccine reaction, specifically thought pertussis component and 3) SIDS were not counted in vaccine reaction statistics…..

I can state unequivocally that vaccines deaths are being written off as SIDS…..and quite frankly, I’m getting real tired of the people who expect others to take a hit for “the better good” being the first to try to deny those very same deaths.

comments from this blog owner and her friends made me sick.

        Pot, meet kettle.

You will not ever find me making nasty posts.

This woman and I had a nice conversation. She even thanked me for being polite. Learn from her.

Acellular pertussis vaccines in Japan: past, present and future.

        This has some chilling observations:

An antivaccine movement developed in Japan as a consequence of increasing numbers of adverse reactions to whole-cell pertussis vaccines in the mid-1970s. After two infants died within 24 h of the vaccination from 1974 to 1975, the Japanese government temporarily suspended vaccinations. Subsequently, the public and the government witnessed the re-emergence of whooping cough, with 41 deaths in 1979. This series of unfortunate events revealed to the public that the vaccine had, in fact, been beneficial.

First off SIDS is defined as unexpected death before the first birthday. Which is why it is impossible for a two year old death to be defined as SIDS.

Second: The DTP was replaced with the DTaP years ago. The DTP is not a vaccine on the present American pediatric schedule.

Third: Facebook stories are not evidence. Not everyone is on Facebook. I really cannot deal with the drama between my two younger sisters. But the majority of actual factual scientific literature from around this planet is indexed on PubMed. It is not perfect, it includes the silly “Medical Hypothesis” (look up the definition of the second word) and a few homeopathy journals.

But PubMed is definitely a better bet than YouTube videos, Sayer Ji and Barbara Loe Fisher’s “National Vaccine misInformation Company.”

The vast majority of Americans are provax. They just don’t post on the CDC Facebook page.

You and your CDC vulture friends make me sick.

Do you remember I asked you and Darren to read my blog post about the long list of studies that supposedly prove vaccines cause autism? Neither of you ever posted back to chat about even one of those studies. Did you even read them?

      • “I know, you have told me that.”

That comment was for Seth/Darren, since they thought Facebook comments were equivalent to more easily obtainable PubMed cites.

i did not even do MySpace. It is seriously due to family dynamics. Both of my sisters are both more than three years younger than me, but only a year apart to each other. They are also complete opposites. I was kind of glad I left home as they entered high school.

  30. Wow I see Merck and friends have spent alot of money paying trolls to tey and “persuade” or “debunk” the sciene that has proven over and over and over again that many vaccines are dangerous and cause harm. Funny how no mention by them of Dr. Thompson and all the connections between the CDC and big pharma with their revolving door politics. (Sits back and sips his tea while reading the article on how CDC director Fitzgerald had to resign recently over “conflict of interest” on stocks she owned in tobaccoo, merck, bayer, and health insurance………….)

    • This blog has actually addressed the conspiracy theory about Dr. Thompson multiple times. The fact that Dr. Fitzgerald had to resign is pretty good indication that conflicts of interests in HHS are taken seriously.

This blog is managed by a very well educated single mother who cares about vaccines. Wanting to believe it’s paid by industry – something completely untrue – does not change the accuracy of the content.

      • It is quite easy to verify that Dorit is not a lawyer and is, in fact, a law professor at UC Hastings, which is her sole income. Making things up about her isn’t going to make your arguments any more valid. And making up silly use names is just ridiculous.

And when you are done with that provide a verifiable economic analysis showing that it would be cheaper to go back to having every child catch measles. Remember about one in ten cases of measles require hospital care (usually due to pneumonia, so hooked up to respiratory support). Here is an example analysis:

certainly not the CDC or government agencies who are all in bed with the big drug companies and their inter-connected network of financing scientific studies to get the results they want to see because the #1 rule in the Corporatocracy – it is all about the profit margin and whatever it takes to protect their financial global empire, they will do. • Sorry, I should have said twit & twat

No one has done that study. PubMed needs to advise users about ALL the entity or entities that funded the studies that appear in search results and any hidden conflicts of interests. A disclosure might read something like this: “This study was funded by Pfizer Corp. John Smith reported receiving consulting fees from Pfizer Corp. and Dow Chemical Co. Jane Jones reported receiving research support from Procter & Gamble and speaking honoraria from 7 food and drug companies.” The policies of the majority of public health journals do not require the reporting of important details such as the role of the funder, and non-financial conflict of interests. Journals and publishers must revise their policies to ensure complete and transparent reporting of funding and hidden conflicts of interests. This was brought up yet again this year in 2018.
